Agreed. here is a semi-first review http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/...id;1776357743;pid;4601 and at $249 i'd rather just get a cheaper matx board w/ a 8500gt for offloading for htpc use, good board for OCing needs tho!

how is the HD offloading of the g35? I'm looking for a matx board for htpc and if this can offload HD content, i wouldn't need to purchase a 8500gt. o and whats the price point of this board? thanks

well, other than that right now i have my ram running at 1:1 also, so its only doing 778...with the higher fsb, i would get faster ram speed as well, still mainting the 1:1 ratio (prob loosen the timings), as the ram i have are d9s, so overall for the same core speed i currently have, it should...

yes, core speed is king, but wouldn't 437fsb x 8x be faster than 389fsb x 9x multiplier? Same core speed, higher fsb...i don't think be able to push my e6600 at 437fsb x 9x multi... w/ the e6550, unless i can get 500fsb, i'll stick w/ the e6600 on the ip35-e also, i believe on my current...

yeh tweaktown and i think maybe vrzone are the only ones w/ a decent review...but no actual users seem to care about the badaxe 2, i dont see any posts or user experiences or anything concerning this board.

ATI or nVidia for 40inch 1080p LCD?

which ATI card is the equivalent of the nvidia 7950GT 512MB? Also the article on the front page thats talking about HDCP cards...for mpeg2 compression CPU usage is close to 40%...so what are these cards doing? If it's this high for mpeg2, what will cpu usage be for h264 compression? I...

$400 or so max, i mean the only reason i would need the 8800 right now would be to play games at 1080p resolutions....i was thinkin more in terms of 7950 or 1950....although i could actually buy the 8800gts, but then i'd want a cheaper mobo b/c i wont be doing much OCing (a little) or doing...

Well, i was considering the nvidia 7950gt, but since im purchasing the aw9d-max, i thought i'd look into ati cards if i ever decide to run crossfire...since sli is only possible w/ hacked drivers. but anyway, my question is, which one is preferred for HD content? nVidia has their purevideo...

Mobo for 8800GTS, not gonna SLI

I know the 650i Ultra is around the corner, but still probably a couple of months down the road. I was just about the purchase a system with the abit aw9d-max mobo and a gf7950gt, but i decided might as well go with the 8800gts since its going to be connected to a 1080p sony LCD...what benefits...
