New Modem/Router combo MG7540, and a WiFi problem

As the title says I got a new modem/router combo so I can give comcast their modem back. I made the purchase because my old ASUS router is dying.... anyways Old router ~175mbps on Speedtest, new one 20-30mbps (Wifi) Plugged in I get ~182mbps so I know its the router half not the modem half...

Some kind of sony Front Left/right and back left/right. No sub but I mean I could fix that or use the Bose for a sub? Idk, don't need super deep bass. Whats a good base price for a receiver?

I scored one of these for $140 as a shell shocker. I havent received it yet but from what I've read it comes with a 240W PSU, that can only handle like a 1030 GT or some POS like that which is probably barely better than IGP. Was wondering if any of you have any experience on swapping out these...

Computer stuff likely to go on sale btwn Black Fri - Cyber Mon?

I have almost the same build, but I went with the ASRock Z170m pro4s, it was finnicky with my memory but my 6500 is sitting at 4.0 ghz under a $20 hyper 212 evo.

The 6700/6700k are neglected CPUs for budget builds and the 6600k is a farce.

The RAM isn't on their supported list and none from the manufacturer is (PNY Anarchy 2x8 ddr4-2400)

New Build $750-$850

I swung a i5 6500 16gb RAM and 1070 STRIX for around $900. Did some bclk OC and its sitting at 4ghz all day, I feel like its a sweet build for the price.

The 6700/6700k are neglected CPUs for budget builds and the 6600k is a farce.

I did a lower end Asrock Z170 and i5 6500, sitting at 4ghz on a bclk OC. Sometimes I wish I'd done the 6700k, then I remember I havent found a game I can't max out. Only pain is the mobo is very finnicky, won't run my RAM in dual channel (or boot if in the right slots for dual channel)...

Does the xbox one controller work as well as the 360 on the pc?

Xbox one controller works like a charm, not sure of elite, probably would work, give it a shot.

i5 6500 OC?

I planned on overclocking it a little bit, and was on a budget. Just tried it just out of fun because the new rig hasn't hiccupped at anything I've thrown at it. like 3.9Ghz and 38C full load.

i5 6500 OC?

Got myself an Asrock Z150m Pro4s and I'm going to try and OC..... we'll see if it'll let me up bclk. Just put this beast together, 100% load on all 4 cores maxed out at 37C which to me is very impressive with this $20 hyper 212 evo. Anyone have any experience OCing non K processors?

Can I make a "hybrid" SSD/HDD combo with to physically separate drives, but have it on one volume i.e. C: and have hardware or even software control of file distribution based on usage with minimal performance loss? Sounds like a good idea, wondering if it's been done.. Thanks AT

New build... take HDD/Win10 from Laptop?

Is it possible to take my Win7 upgraded to 10 from my laptop (OEM software probably) and throw it in a new desktop build and not have to purchase a license? I'd probably format and boot safemode or something to the new PC and see how it works? Any thoughts? Thanks.

This is so annoying, trying to download Steam games. It maxed out at 2.5 mb/s and is usually around 40 kb/s. But it's at 0 bytes/s half the time. I never lose connectivity though. FUUUU

Hanging microwave from cabinet?

I just did this a few weeks ago. Said microwave should have some holes on the top for bolts or screws. Just drill a hole through the cabinet and screw/bolt into those.
