The closest you can come on the nVidia front would be the Asus cards, which from my research they are buggy as Hell.
Don't be afraid of the AIW. I've gotten it working fantastically and the gaming performance is great.
I'm in Windows 2000 and all is well. If you install the card from a clean install of 2000 and follow the instructions that were highlighted here, your success is almost guaranteed.

Just captured 480x480 for 54 minutes with no dropped frames. Once you get this thing right it's a wonderful thing.
I would recommend capturing the contents of your hard drive in an uncompressed AVI format and then transferring it to VHS tape with your video out connection. Once the new drive is in then go ahead and recapture to the new hard drive. It's that easy! ;)
