This whole thread is ridiculous. Based on the 7 million reviews out there for the 7700k and Ryzen we all know exactly where these CPU stand. Why are we trying to draw conclusions based on the test bed RTG used to benchmark their GPU.
It's not some revelation that the 7700K is faster in gaming...
We're talking about at worst semi-enthusiast PC gamers who are at least able oto putting a rig together. The capability to look up a review or spec sheet is a given. The majority of the people in the market for a Gsync or Freesync display aren't the mainstream consumer.
Don't forget frame doubling. Having a super low minimum refresh is basically moot with frame doubling. You still get the benefits of Freesync down to 20fps.
I was hyped for the Pixel XL but if these leaks are correct that is like a worst case scenario. It looks like a chinese iphone clone. And they had to downgrade the screen to 5.5" to make sure they did as little as possible to differentiate it.
Remedy has a long history of making high-end graphics engines but they just can't figure out that damned DX12. Seriously, what do you people think DX12 is? I don't know much about graphics apis but I feel like 90% of the people who talk about them know even less.
Weird. I never said anything about the power consumption of GDDR5. But I guess you just need to deflect away from your original poorly thought out argument.
You're still off. All your doing is comparing 8gbit GDDR5 to 4gbit GDDR5. This has nothing to do with the overall power consumption of GDDR5. It's the same number of chips....
What does that have to do with the specs, price or performance of Vega? You missed my point. Which is obviously that these numbers are rumors and not information from AMD.
It's like the people in this thread live in a world where common game engines don't exist and 2D indie platformers are the main reason people upgrade their GPUs.
The 4GB Sapphire card in your reviews has a boost clock that is only slightly different than the connectorless 4GB Gigabyte card (1212mhz vs 1250mhz) and the same memory clock. The card I have holds it's boost clocks just fine so there is no reason to assume it should inherently perform...
I have this card in my HTPC. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125897&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-VigLink-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=6163686&SID=it1jo5jvj5011rh100053
I'm guessing the GTX 1050 is more likely. The current 960m is a 750 ti and the 1050 is it's direct successor. Still should be a very nice performance upgrade as the 750 ti is quite old at this point.
When my companies GPU is faster than yours it's because it's better. When your companies GPU is faster than mine it's because the game was optimized for it. It's a weak argument no matter which "side" you're on.
The upgrade didn't actually invalidate your old licenses. At least in my experience, I was able to reactivate my Windows 7/8 licenses on other machines after I upgraded to 10 with them.
You don't understand, AMD is lying about their numbers to inflate their stock value. It doesn't matter that this is highly illegal and would be disastrous for a publicly traded company. Good thing the AT detectives are here to find the true results.
He's so wrong it's embarrassing. AMD doesn't even stand for Advanced Micro Devices in that picture.

I'm not so quick to take marketing slides at face value, but that's pretty impressive. Especially considering Broadwell is Intels latest Xeon architecture and will be for some time still. I hope they can push the clock speeds up a bit more though.
High-end smartphone hardware has hit the point of diminishing returns. The SoCs, screens, cameras, etc. can only be incrementally updated from here. Probably the last thing that Android phones need is the high performance storage that Apple has.

Here's a middle of the pack 5960x that scores close to the Zen leak. 5960x = 3.2 ghz Zen confirmed.

I don't know how Zen will perform and it's not a product I will likely buy. This thread is just the usual suspects doom and glooming. If it was any other company the same people would be quick to poke holes in these results for obvious reasons. It's sad that you don't even have to read the OP...

Plenty of cables like this on Amazon.
Yes, making things up is a good argument.

The 256 cores are unlikely to have anything more than a marginal effect on performance. We have no clue if a full GP102 chip will ever be released to consumers. Just by the Titan X if you have the money and want the performance.
