Does anyone have a copy of the rebate form with $20 on it?
I made a mistake and didn't download the form when I was orderingthe drive on 26th, and now they removed the $20 part of the rebate...
I'd appreciate if you post a form somewhere or just e-mail it to me to outpost@milehighwings.com...
Right now, many R/C vendors have good sale prices (the flying season is over in most of the states).
For this much money, you can buy a much better plane.
For example, HobbyPeople sell Watt-Age Crazy 8 with Cobalt 400 motor (the free motor may require some cupon code, I saw it in their catalog)...
There quite a few R/C hobbists posting here, and anyone who has flown a "real" R/C plane will say to you that this is not one of the "real" planes. It's rather a toy, which you can give as a present to a child. The motor is weak, the radio is primitive and can't be re-used with any other plane...
Buyer Assurance is crap!
I've submitted a dozen of claims (more than two months ago!) and haven't received any money from them. The only e-mail I've got so far, was about a claim they've gladly rejected. My iPAQ $100 is nowhere...
Don't bother with Buyer Assurance.
Dont't forget an important feature of this Lite-On 24102B drive: it supports "Correct EFM encoding of regular bit patterns", which is required to back-up SafeDisc2 protected disks. Not many drives supports it!
I've just got 24102B from Next Hardware Shop and I'm quite happy with it. It replaced...
Kingz,
Thanks for the good find: I've just got the last MV720 from Boulder, CO, store. It happen to be a display item, so, the manager (happened to be a really nice guy) reduced the price to $75.
I've submitted the SN, and Compaq accepted it--I've got a confirmation e-mail already!
That's one...
I have it, it's a nice case: pretty quiet and convenient. I'm running in it a $30 Intel MP440BX board (from Overstock) with Celeron II 633 @ 950 MHz, which required an additional intake fan.
c2it sucks! I opened one account for myself and another--for my wife. We exchanged $5 transfers, and I got myself $10 bonus. Unfortunately, my wife were unable to login and c2it Customer Service refused to help: they said that her account had zero ballance, and the only thing they could do was...
Home Depot sells light-gray Cat5 100Mb cable for $40 per 1000ft roll or $0.14 per foot.
I recently wired my apartment: got 100ft cable in a local B&M Home Depot (at that time, they had 10% off for everything in the store) and attached connectors myself (crimping tool was a Hot Deal from the...
$10 off $15 has just been deactivated by Onvia. :(
I was able to use it half an hour ago, but my last attempt (under my wife's user name) failed with the massage "Invalid coupon code...".

jcballer1,
Go to their main page and find My Account link (towards the bottom left corner). After you enter your ID/psw, you'll be able to click Order Status. Beware, though that they never change status from "Accepted" to "Shipped". You have to go down to the last page with...
MagisterLudi,
You forgot to mention that, in order to use different X10 moduli, people will need X10 tranciever block as well as one of the control blocks. Fortunately, the introductory start-up package with these items is about $6 at X10.com.
BTW, alt.home.automation newsgroup (look at...
I rememder long time ago, there was a web site, which allowed you to track the status of most of MIRs. It was posted here, I guess, but I couldn't find it. :(
If anybody still has this address (and if the site still exists), please post it here.
Nothing on UBid site sais that this is the drive, eligible for rebate: "Specially marked Iomega® PocketZip? Drive for Digital Cameras packages include a rebate request form for a $50 mail-in rebate."
Besides, after this posting the price will most likely go up.
Essentials' customer service sucks! Despite my numerous phone calls and e-mails, they failed to change my address & phone number after I moved. As a result, my new long distance rates jumped to $.15 .
It's being in stock at Onvia for couple of months already. :)
BTW, this is one of the best slockets. I have two of them running C566@850 and C633@950 on Intel $39 BX boards from Overstock. Rock solid!
They are regular ATX. Fit easily into my mid-tower cases. The one little anoyance is location of front connector pins (power, reset, etc.)--they are just beneart IDE carles.
I've just received it--only 3 days after ordering!
The image of the rebate form at Beyond's page is so bad that I recreated it (in Corel draw) and exported as a TIF file:
download it here
Have fun!
