500+ IS for CORE 2 DUOS, trust me on a core 2 quad 6600 460fsb is very very good I struggled for days trying to get to as close as possbile for 500fsb, and i have thecream of the crop wc system! gilgamesh

The secret of getting past even 420FSB never mind 440 fsb (by the way your doing quite well to get that far) in ANY X9 chip is to down the cpu to X8 and to up the vtt to 1.23 PLEASE see my settings post and use these as a guide. gilgamesh

Sorry I havent tested the osund under Vista as of yet, however I do not like the sound codec on this board at all, as Mentioned in my review the soundcard is basically the same as on the IN932MAX but with NO DTS output, i fealt pretty let down by this aspect. gilgamesh

EEEK MATE One of the major critisms for this baord in my review above, were the fact that it as a J-Micron ide controller. If I were you I would part company with IDE and go SATA altogether! gilgaMESH

Yes it is recommended oterhwise you cant overlock as far. This is needed on ALL make of boards. You should also see the crazy voltage needed to get anywhere of which i commented on my review and oc update. cheers gilgamesh

Got my new E6300

no its not your cpu hitting a mark you should get a little more out of it if i were you push up your ram voltage and Northbridge voltage a little more you SHOULd get into the 400's fsb at X9 multiplier cheers Gilgamesh

Ok folks I have jsut won the 2006 title for the overclocker for the year in the 975x chipset section on ABIT boards FOR THE uk I overclocked a COnroe 2.4 to 3.817 with a Super pi result of 13.46 seconds using 1M 19 iterations Before you ask no I did NOT use high-end RAM I achieved this...
