Just received an email which starts as follows:
Dear valued cashback customer:
We are writing to notify you that the Bing cashback program will be discontinued, and the last day to earn cash back on your Bing Shopping purchases will be July 30, 2010.
Are you sure it has a 32Mb cache?
Nothing in the FRY's site says so, and searching NewEgg for a "Hitachi Deskstar 1TB" only comes back with a 16Mb version.
What ZIP did you use?
If I use an eastern ZIP (19606), and page 6 shows a crappy DVD/VCR combo
If I use a west coast zip (90210), page 6 shows a 2 way dubbing, DVD to VCR, VCR to DVD!
Apparently it is different by geographic location. :(
Seems like DD-WRT can be loaded, but it can only support the Micro version (BCM5354 chip rev 2 or rev 3 at 240 Mhz) and only has 2 MB of flash Ram. Just FYI
Great Price, just wonder why MS even bothers anymore.
I bought and used MS Streets & Trips 2006, and it was great. But to be honest, I found it too cumbersome (laptop, care power inverter, separate GPS receiver, etc...) in the car and still needed a passenger to operate the laptop and use...
Any idea how much better an E8400 (or an E8200) is versus an E2140 (that can be overclocked to 3.0) ?
I know the E8x00 uses less juice and runs cooler, but performance-wise, might a budget-oriented person like myself be better off picking up an e2140 for about $70 (instead of about coughing...
Tom's hardware shows the non-overclocked E2140 to be comparable to an E4300 (see link here)
Any idea how well this one (overclocked to 3.0) stacks-up (say against the new E8200)?
If the performance difference is not that much, the price of the E2140 makes this a no-brainer.
Currently...

This can and does work, however be certain to NOT charge anything new on that card. The "scam" that the credit card companies "run", works as follows:
Say you take out $10,000 (to put into...
Even reformatting a disk may not erase or overwrite old data. For instance, you can "Quick Format" a floppy disk. This takes so little time, because it is not overwriting and verifying the integrity of the sections of the disk.
This is why you hear stories of unscrupulous people...
Think of it this way: "Deleting a file is not the same as erasing the disk space that it occupies. Deleting a file just causes the "Disk Manager" to treat the space that the file occupied as "available to be overwritten/re-used". Even emptying your "Recycle Bin" does not erase the data.
If...
Sure the PSU may be free (after rebate), but how much might it cost to replace your motherboard, CPU and/or video card. I bought a "cheap" off-brand PSU and it died in less than 4 months. And the replacement (a second "inexpensive" PSU) fried my motherboard. In all these "Cheap PSU' cost me...
