Multipliers?

mobile athlon xp? 100fsb? thats just stupid. set it to 200 and set the multi to like 11.5 or 12, 2.4 gigs easy with the right cooling. higher FSB was always better as i remembered it when clocking the athlon xp-m or atleast try 166, with say 13

Same hardware changes, vista required reactivation, xp did not.

i have 6 copies of xp from msdnaa, only use one and have had to reactivate it like 7 times lol, had to do it over the phone for 5 of the 7 times... no big deal tho as it only took 5 mins to do. ive just installed the vista business verson and and getting it all setup before i activate the...

Vista - can't install battlefield 2 patch 1.41

does'nt vista have DEP like windows xp? if so i think the exe might need to be added to the expection.

windows XP boot issue

Ok basically i have 3 hhd, one has just died. when i installed windows, i put windows onto the sata drive which is drive E: the 2 other drivers are c and d. d has just died, if i take this out i can no longer boot, because E: defaults to D :( and it nolonger can find the boot record...

sounds like u got the engirneer sample, which has 4mb of cache instead of the standard 2mb, run CPUz and check there and the steping and revision. if thats the case just overclock it to the default 266 and u basically have a e6400 with 4mbs of cache. performance should hopfully be somewhere...

try going into safemode, open up device manager and find display adapters and uninstall the ati graphics adapters... the reboot and see what happens.

ive come from the same setup. had a asus nForce2 mobo, how i shall miss it ;) with a Athlon-XPm 2500+ at 2.5gigs and with the asus x800xtpe im loving the performance boost i got :). and it only cost 150 quid to upgrade :D only problem was the bios on the asus x800xtpe was changed by asus...

im just guessing here, but the asus ati card might have slightly modded bios's to work with there speical drivers.... causing it to fail to intiliaze the display when the ati drivers are installed. a flash to the standard ati bios might be required, tho as you havent got the card yet it might...

well this problem was kinda narrowed down to one thing, when windows starting it would freeze.... the primary ati display card would fail to initialize. donno why but seems a few cards have slightly different configurations in there bios that makes this difference

i dont think u understand, the problem doesnt seem to affect all ati users, but just a few with certain agp cards., as ive said what i did has solved the problem for good and should do the same for others... that are experiancing problems of this nature.

OMG!!!! 2 friging DAYS with this mother board, had the problem with the ati drivers that others have been having problems with... ive finally SOLVED IT! i signed up just so i could tell ya's :) i got a asus x800xtpe AGP card. i flashed it to a different bios, the standard vanilla ATI...
