most of my gaming buddies are in Europe and they usually go online when I go offline (or the other way around) because of the time difference :P
I just want to make sure in case this happens I can rely on my "semi-retarded" :D bots...
Anyway, I'm convinced enough, I'll be getting it!
take a look.
Since I have a buddy over there I might have a board and CPU combo shipped here - weren't these systems supposed to enter the market in about a month from now??
depends how much you stress it - if you can :D
it really takes two video cards (and lets add a heavily overclocked quadcore) to make its fan spin faster. With a single video card that PSU barely reaches operating temperature and will remain totally quiet.
great price for a high quality, high efficiency PSU!
Not long ago Newegg had the same 20% discount on Corsair PSUs - back then I got my 1000HX for $162 after MIR. :)
I'll get mine tomorrow. I don't really need that much power (yet :D) but at $163 I had to pull the trigger. Even $188 is quite a good price for that PSU.
I've seen the 675 MHz SC version over at ZZF for $329 (after MIR) a few days ago, wanted to post here next morning but it had disappeared.
I'm waiting for a decent deal on a factory overclocked model because these are hand-picked by the EVGA staff. And since EVGA announced a voltage...
nope, didn't happen. They sent me several emails telling me the shipment will be delayed and if I wanted to cancel because of that etc. etc.
I hope this isn't their way of cancelling orders.
I received a shipping confirmation from Musicians Friend eight days ago, with an invalid tracking number. So far, nothing. Also, my CC didn't get charged... what's going on here??
is it just me or do some of you have NO idea how good italian pizza is supposed to taste? Tip: You can't it at Papa John's.
Anyway, nice find OP, .25$ is next to nothing.
get a 55nm GTX 260, either factory o/c'ed or at stock and overclock it yourself. Most of these 55nm 260s should be able to reach GTX 280 speeds. While the GTX 260 has a pretty good bang/buck ratio, the GTX 285 is way overpriced imo and it may take some time for their prices to come down.
two words: insanely overpriced. This factory overclocked GTX280 can be had for $275 after MIR. Why would I pay $400+ for a card that is more effort for Nv to manufacture but offers the same performance?!?
Wake up Nv, we're in a financial crisis - those prices are completely unrealistic...
I need to revise my statement a little bit: There's no official word from 2K but all the DRM restrictions are gone. I downloaded the game yesterday. Unlimited installations, and you needn't be online to play (Steam must be installed though and the game must be activated on your computer), game...
Thanks Glavinsolo, Bioshock for $5 is a great deal, especially because the Steam version has been completely de-securomed. I might get my hands on Clear Sky also... very tempting.
that would be seriously overpriced then, considering they can fit more dies on a wafer PLUS the GPU remains the same with only slightly better performance (a factory overclocked 65nm 280 will beat the the 55 nm version).
very nice! Transcend for me, I'm still using a Transcend 2 Gb SD (paid $130 when it came out) as this card has been working flawlessly in my cam for years. Thanks OP.
oh well, I just checked my live.com account again and to my surprise the "cashback"-link actually works today (it didn't yesterday). Looking good now... still pending :)
it's probably better to ask "has anyone figured out if cashback works at all?"
I purchased an itouch 2 months ago, said to be 30% cashback, and so far no sign of anything. No notifications on my live.com account, no message on my paypal account.... nothing. I hope I didn't get screwd :(
