<3 this monitor. Really.
And to stay on topic, good deal. Also glad to hear it beat out the 22" Sceptre (which I was actually thinking about getting) until I sprung for this one. It was this or the 20" 20WMGX2 for the AS-IPS display, but that was still $600. I wonder what the price is on...
I picked up:
Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer - $7.50
Oblivion: Shivering Isles - $7.50
Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl - $10
Company of Heroes - $10
Splinter Cell: Double Agent - $2.xx
Battle for Middle Earth II - $2.xx
:D
Good stuff. Now I need NWN2... :P
I got the card last Tuesday and it pretty much rocks, coming from a 7600GT. 3DMark06 went from ~3300 to nearly 9500 on stock.
I'm using ATITool to overclock it; I read around, and it seems 999's a good spot for the memory. My gaming profile has 725 on the Core, letting me play Oblivion at...
I'm also the owner of the original P180B, and I'd love to get the extra cable management stuff along with the raised motherboard tray. I ended up just removing the bottom fan (that drags air across the HDD's and into the PSU) to make room for cables. Now the 4-pin going to the processor...
As far as DS v DSII, I've actually heard it compared to the difference between Diablo I and Diablo II; same game, but different structure.
Note: I haven't played myself, though.
Also, I'd be all over this if I just didn't buy a 2900Pro. I've been wanting Jade Empire for a while now. :D...
AGH. I was going to finally bite on two of them, but the price at this time (19:35 central) jumped back to $110 for one. ):
Wait. But then I reload the page and it's $49.99?
Beta was hit and miss. I actually liked some classes in the early beta, but nearly EVERYTHING changed once I started school and got back into it about a week ago. I only played for a little bit, though.
I found that it was as I was expecting. It was OK. You don't have to pay a...
How can you tell it's a TN? It's more than likely a TN panel, but don't they already have the 226BW and the 206BW for their TN?
Either way, that's not a bad price for what looks like a 226BW with a different bezel.

Sandwich + drink.
Not sure how valid it is. I quickly looked around the 'nets to see if it was a scam, but I couldn't find anything.
I think they'd just send you spam through the mail, anyway.
Form isn't long. First 1M to sign up, though it's been going since...
I was going to get one off of Woot, but it was white. :P
Plus, myself, I didn't care too much for the button they had. :/
Nice price though! I might like it more now, haha.
I swear, last post, unless someone asks me something.
Mine here were marked at $50 with a lime green tag. I asked one of the ladies there this morning at 08:15 to price check and they came up on the computer as $23.
I had to loosen them some too (thought I tightened the outermost L/R swivel too much), only to mount everything and find out it was too loose. It took almost the same amount to loosen; it just gave way faster. :P
But yeah, if you're buying and have a rather heavy monitor, make sure you...
Applying LOTS of force (wore a glove and put my body weight into it) worked with the nuts that hold the two outermost swiveling hinges. It's working, and it's nice!
Now I need a heavier desk - this one wobbles, and it's exaggerated when I type and the screen shakes with it. Just a little...
This is not holding up my 226BW, whose spec sheet supposedly says 16.3 lbs. :( The swivel that holds the monitor just falls about 30º past horizontal, with the monitor up just a bit, all the way int a nearly 45º angle where the bottom of the monitor is laterally behind the top, and it's like...
If it's $9.99 for all the jewel cases (i.e.: not mark down of the ones in boxes), this is 'standard' fare; most JC games i've seen are $10.
But, this is supposed to be a pretty good game. It might make me get the dust off of my Saitek FCS sitting in my closet. :D
Thanks for the heads up...
Me too. :(
Wait. But then I'd be broke. :P
Good deal! This has come and gone a few times now and I've passed each time. I got my 7600GT for this price, though.
It's OK. Stas just doesn't like Madden, but is a little more vocal about it than most. (I don't like any sports games on the console, actually.) :P
Anyway, I'm going to go try combining both offers two seperate times for Okami and GH2 this week. :D
The coupon leaves a cookie on your machine so that you can't view it again.
To make it work (again), clear your cookies. :)
Thanks OP! I get the Toys "R" Us e-mail, but I never look at it.
They've also got a "buy Madden '08, get a second game half off" promo going on.
NCIX is based in Canada, and Newegg (I don't think, but I don't know) won't ship to Canada, so...
If you can't go through Newegg, it's the next best thing. :D
The 24" dell is a little higher I think, before rebate.
One thing to note is that this -is- a true 8-bit color panel. The 24" Dell is an S-PVA which have some oddities with same color from the center of the screen to the sides.
The only other S-IPS in this range is the Dell 2007WFP, but...
This at the top/near top of the list of SilentPCReview's recommended PSU list.
My own take? It's quiet. I'd like to find out how much power my system is using, but I doubt it's anywhere near 75% of the output. Or maybe even 50%.
(Oh hey, MrNeutrino mentioned SPCR as well. :D)
Regarding the shipping, Fable got shipped to me in a crappy beat up box, but it came out OK. I think that's what we get for Dirt Cheap shipping, though. Heh. :)
The only complaint I have is that it crashes 30 minutes in, and comes on four CDs. :P
The 7200.10 have perpendicular recording technology. The benefits? I've seen a little faster, a little quieter, a little ... well, I don't know really. I think it's rather new, so how long it'll really last is beyond me.
*nods* I was hoping they'd be the 320's instead of 300's. Either way a good deal.
I'll probably end up just waiting until they advertise the 7200.10's for sale.
:D
Ooooooh.
Not as great of a $/GB as the 500 and 400GB drives I've been seeing, but I can't spend that much on two of them anyway. :)
What are the chances of these being 7200.10's anyway? I'm trying to hold out for some $50-60 7200.10 Seagates with aronud 250-300GB per drive.
I've got the fan at 80% on the 775 version to be quiet enough. At 100%, though, the temp drops another 3-4º C.
With the F10 BIOS for ma DS3 rev 3.3, I'm sitting at 30-50º C from idle to Orthos (2h+) load. With the F11 BIOS, the tJunction (I think, not the core) is 10º C higher, but the...
The 226 varies on the panel (A, C, or S, I think) with backlighting. Also, I had stints of very bad dithering problems on two A panels. It went away with my third panel, though, and it ended up being an S.
I can't tell you if it ghosts. I've never had that sort of problem with any monitor...
