RO is indeed a UT mod; Run through steam. Being a steam app, I have to have steam running while playing it.
My guess is that steam is periodicly choking my bandwidth. Could be a port issue or something with the router, but in the past my steam games have played online fine with the same...
Its definitly something steam related; I fired up red orchestra and it did something similar.
I used skype while playing a hl2 mod last night, and each time the game hung (hanged?), my skype would cut out.
Its almost as if the bandwidth is getting completely choked.
This problem started...
This is not the popular hl2 freezing/stuttering issue;
While playing HL2 mods online (+ other online steam games?, cant recall, will test when i get home), every 45sec/minute or so I will get what looks like server lag where everyone freezes, but I can still move around (until I warp back to...
Anyone have a link to a decent review or have any more info on this card?
I read somewhere that gecube used a pro board with xt core, or something of that nature.
Sorry if this thread is similar to many others, but the search function sucks.
x2gen MW22U
or
Chimei CMV 221D-NBC
or
Viewsonice Optiquest Q22wb
Looking to buy today; any opinions on which is the best choice?
Playing online, usually with friend hosting a 2vs2 game;
I always connect to friend (yellow radio symbol thing), however, 7/10 people that join the game always stay at the telephone icon stage (hence we cant start playing) with me. We have to constantly kick people and hope that someone will...
Go to http://www.hannsg.com/us/ and look at it under the products section. Says 16.2 m display colors and 800:1 contrast ratio.
What do you think about x2gen 22" as an alternative?
I have a 19" ws hanns-g that has worked well.
Unfortunately the stand kind of sucks, and it broke while I was trying to adjust it. After catching it it now has a 2" black blot and 1" wide unviewable vertical line down the right side.
If you buy it, be careful when adjusting the tilt!
It amuses me how people complain about lack of forward progress over the weekend. Sat/Sun are not business days, how do you expect anything to happen?
Newegg is as fast as you can get online, and their customer service is unmatched IMO. I can't see how anyone could have a negative opinion...
I did some searches, but didnt have any luck finding significant info.
Anyone have experience with:
Antec NeoPower NeoHE 550w
or
Enermax Liberty 500w
Im looking for a 500/550w w/ modular cables to spend around $60-$110 at newegg.
I put my old psu in, and it appears that I continue to have ctd and random reboot problems. I set BIOS to defaults and it is no help.
Probably a motherboard issue?
I just got a new 550w PSU for my e6400 setup.
With my existing psu (a 4 year old enermax 350w) it ran fine. Since I put the new PSU in (no other hardware changes), ive noticed programs crashing a lot. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot this?
Could I bother someone for a suggestion on a PSU? Looking to spend around $50+
E6400
2x1 gig ddr2 667
IDE HD
SATA HD
x850
5 case fans
either of these work ok, or other suggestions?
Coolmax CP-500T
Rosewill RP500-2
thanks
I used to keep my volume maxed (PC) but now I keep it around 80%. I definitly notice better sound quality coming from the speakers. My previous point was that unless you know your sound card wont distort sound at 100% and you don't need your speakers as loud as possible, its better to reduce...
The farther away from maxed software volume the better. 100% software level could lead to poor sound quality. If you can get your speakers loud enough when your software is at 50% volume, that is a good choice.
WASD and Arrow keys = suck
If you havn't tried ESDF, you don't know what you are missing. Index finger sittting on the F bump is nice, lots of surrounding keys, normal typing posssition...
