OC issue with Keyboard

I'm overclocking a i7-920 to 3.8ghz, 1.25v, all other voltages are at stock settings. Temps run at around 51C. Things have been running fine so far, no crashes etc. However while playing a game, often times some of my keys get stuck (shift, awsd etc). This only happens when I overclock...

Orthos Stability Testing - Priority Settings + Length of Test

oho thank you for posting this. I wasn't sure how to interpret Orthos failures and whatnot, especially with "stability" seeming so subjective so many different people.

Some e4300 OC info ...

Aha, good stuff. I wonder what vCore they had to use for 3.9ghz. It's interesting though, how the stability bar can vary widely.... from just benchmarks and 8M SuperPi's in the article or insisting on a 12-24hr Orthos test in some other places.

Its rated for DDR-800. What I meant was since I got it to boot at 390fsb but not stable in windows, I didn't think pushing it past 400 would show anything. Memory timings are at 5-5-5-15, they're rated for 5-5-5-12.

Well, 3.35 GHz on an e4300 is nothing to sneeze at. On the other hand, something seems fishy here... If your cpu can do 3.35 GHZ then it should be able to do it at 9 x 372 or at 8 x 418. And since your board is a DS3, it should have no problem with the 418 FSB... the DS3 can go up to 500+...

Voltage needed for E4300 to hit 3GHz

Here's the numbers I recorded on my setup. GA-965P-DS3 Rev2 Tuniq 120 Cooler XMS2 DDR-800 (5-5-5-12) Note: This is with an Old school 3dfx PCI Video card, and doesn't take into account the added temp of current video cards. These are all stable for 6 hours on Orthos. fsb 350x9 vcore...

I tried lowering the multiplier to 8, but seemed to hit a FSB limit of 390. Anything higher wouldn't POST at all. I think I was able to get it once to 412x8, but that required a rather high vCore (1.5ish?), so I didn't want to bother. Even at 390fsb, it was terribly unstable. Orthos would cause...

Aha, I was wondering about that. Which voltage should I go by...the one reported in something like Speedfan, or what I set in the BIOS? I tend to see a vdrop of .04-.06v when on full load. Are voltage drops like that normal, or a sign of anything?

E4300 Overclocks?

I am using a GA-965P DS3 with a Tuniq 120, and can get it to 362x9 @ 1.43 vcore (might be 1 vcore setting higher). I can't seem to get it stable past 370fsb. I can get it to post up to 390fsb by bumping the vCore to 1.5 but Orthos fails left and right.
