AMD HDMI audio continuously skipping

Thank you so much. I had found a work around by clicking on LCD overdrive in catalyst which caused windows to go into basic mode, but this works much better.

There is nothing odd about this. First NV took away the ability to use physx unless you are all NV, then custom refresh rates, now they the ability to change voltage, eventually they will take away the ability to change the clocks entirely except through hacks. Once consumers can't change...

Cryptocoin Mining?

I'm so happy with ATI this generation because of bitcoin mining. My 5770 not only paid for itself but most of my my 7950 which itself has already gotten me about $70 or so. I think that's pretty good considering I've only had it for like a month. That 7970 would be so tempting if only my mobo...

pair of 7950 is fastest hardware, but I'm not sure if it will have the professional driver support of the quadro or firepro cards.

Buyer's remorse for GTX 670 anyone?

I have buyer's remorse with my 7950 wind force. My remorse is I should have gotten this thing sooner, it mines incredibly well so if I had bought this a 6 months earlier I could have probably paid it off and been able to afford another one by this point. Then again the price on these 6 months...

Buying a GTX 670 vs 7950

I'm very happy about my 7950 purchase except for the fact I got it from Amazon and so no games were included. I'll just run it as a miner for a while to make up the difference though so no big deal, but would have been nice.

Need help picking two LED 1080p IPS monitors

I have a dell u2311 and a ST2201 (something like that). Both are e-IPS panels, and I'm pretty happy with them. THE ST2201 is a touch screen and glossy, but the blacks are darker but it is reflective. I think you can find these types of panels for around $200 or so.

Powercolor HD 7990 Devil 13 6 GB Review

Is everyone missing the point of this card? This is essentially the new 5970, a bitcoin miner with the ability to play games occaisonally. Put 4 of these into a mobo that can support them and you could potentially be doing 6.4 Ghash/s. Not sure if the cost is worth it, considering all the ASICs...

So the benefits of this over a catleap are warranty, no power adapter/converter needed?, and additional input connections? I think for the catleaps you can pay the same price and get one guaranteed to have no dead pixels at least in the beginning.

Monitor Reviews

I'm kind of interested in the Samsung 120 Hz panels which I saw on newegg, SAMSUNG S27A750D. I haven't seen a professional review, but the 100% accurate photo stuff sounds pretty cool in the product description though it's probably going to suck in real life if this thing is a TN.

Any IPS or VA panels 27 inch 1920x1200 or 1080?

Why not get a 2560 x 1440 27" panel, I think all those with that kind of resolution are IPS panels. Considering the monitor you linked is $500 already I think these panels are only about 100-200 more.

recommend cheap replacement to faulty ATI 4870

5770 will be an almost exact equivalent of your 4870 so that or anything faster will work for you. On the NV side GTX 450 is a little slower while a 460 is faster.

If you're looking for high pixel density go for a 27" monitor with 2560 x 1440 or SGI 1600SW which has 1600 x 1024 in a 17" screen. These should be some of the highest ppi in current lcd monitors.

yes eyefinity group is disabled. I found single 5770 isn't fast enough to crank graphics all the way for 3 x 1920 x 1080 displays in the newer games.
