While reading various threads in different forums, I noticed people make mention of issues regarding certain Asus motherboards and Antec power supplies. I did a Google search and didn't see anything specifically mentioning issues between the Neotec and P5N-E SLI though.
Linked is when the memory speed is dependent on the FSB speed of the CPU.
Unlinked gives off the illusion that said dependency is no longer there. So you can define different speeds for the CPU and RAM. This helps in that the RAM would almost a non-factor when it comes to overclocking the CPU.
If you linked the CPU and memory speed in the BIOS to the extent that it says the memory is running at 600mhz, then yeah, you're not utilizing all the available bandwidth.
Based off of what I've gleamed from various topics on the motherboard, the most popular NB cooling options seem to be either a Vantec Iceberq 1, with it's extra heatsink for use on the SB, or a Thermalright HR-05 SLI w/ a short cheapo heatsink for the SB.
After dumping my AMD setup due to a fried DFI motherboard and volt dropping PSU for this Intel rig, I spent the last week or two toying around with settings and despite recommendations stating otherwise, it would seem as though I hit higher FSBs when I don't strictly use the black RAM slots...
