Maybe to eliminate a problem or two, I would plug in JUST the Raptor and load the OS on that drive. If that works maybe it will give you some direction.

I would buy an OEM copy of XP Pro for $139 before I bought a key from MS for $150 to place on the bootleg OS, as least with the storebought software you know what you have.
I'm using the Scythe S-FLEX SFF21D 120mm Case Fan 800rpm version on my CPU and for case exhaust. My CPU temp. hangs around 35c. to 39c. while running it at 2.6ghz.
I don't hear this rig run.
I had a mystery problem like that with NewEgg and before that ZipZoomFly, I bypassed my router to clear it up. The problem has since gone away, still a mystery.
