lol i'm not upset....lol just wondering why the hell it'll let me overclock the ram to 1000 but at looser timings.. it's werid but it's rock solid at those settings..

wouldn't boot!!! so i just said f@#$ it and am going to run it at 5-5-5-15@1000 for the time being, it's only 800MHz ram so i figure that normally its 4-4-4-12@800 so 5-5-5-15@1000 can't be much slower?? 3dmard scored it slightly lower... not much maybe 5-10 points

Core2,, umm i just don't get it i'm unable to get my ram working 4-4-4-12 @800 it ran on orthos for about 3-4hrs then froze up. changed the timings to 5-5-5-15 @1000 it ran for over 8hrs error free!! tried adjusting the voltage, played around with the ram voltage in between 2.17 and 2.25 no...

Core2 dropped my Ram Volts down to 2.17 when at 4-4-4-12 @800 and i believe that did the trick!! i also got a slightly higher score with 3D mark when at 4-4-4-12@800 but not much. i still can't seem to get it stable at 1900fsb?? you did say that you were able to reach 1900 right??

just got done running prime95 and orthos together overnight, and finally found a good stable point. settings are in signature now. i also found that running my ram at 5-5-5-15@1000 made it stable, as when i ran it at 4-4-4-12@800 it failed prime and orthos. the ram timings and speed was the...

well, i ran ortho for over an hour last night with no errors or restarts with the current settings in my sig... hope this helps out some people... and thanks Core 2 for the advice! also what do you think that my max FSB is?? and then secondly i'm having trouble installing and running Memtest86

well, with those settings it didn't freeze up after about 20mins or so but it rebooted. so i went back in and set the NB to auto, Vcore to auto, left my ram at 2.25, said F@#$ it and upped my ram from 4-4-4-12 @800MHz to 5-5-5-15 @1000MHz, Booted fine, i also noticed that my Vcore isn't up...

well, i put the Vcore voltage on auto, and upped the FSB to 1800, currently running at 3150MHz "450x7" Pcprobe says my Vcore is ranging in the 1.54-1.57v , also i set +100mv on the cpu in the bios. NB is set to 1.53, mem is set to 2.25. So far Orthos is running for about 10mins with no problem...

tried it at 1700 FSB and worked better than 1600, but eventually froze up, going to try to bump it up to 1800 just to see what hapens... just can't figure out why i can't get anything above 1400 FSB with out it freezing up in ortho

AZDUDE: did you have any problems with the FSB between 1450-1600?? i can't seem to get it any higher than 1400 ATM. I've got cooling on both NB and SB, my Volts are listed in my sig. just need some help... i'd love to be right where your at...

just got the ninja cpu cooler, Noctua NC-U6 on northbridge, coolermaster blue ice on the southbridge, and the Zalman VF-900 put on the 7900GT. WOW i'm one cool dude now....lol sorry that was kinda funny... so now i'm going to see what kind of OC's i can get now.. Also i used the artic silver...

just ordered two temp sensor, ninja cpu cooler, and a NB and SB chipset cooler, parts should be here by monday so then i'll be able to see how high i can OC it..... :)

just upped the FSB to 1600, running at 2800MHz now. i ran orthos for 2.5hrs at 1400FSB and no problems!!!! running orthos right now at current settings.. will let you know the out come..

my max CPU temp so far is 31C, MB temp is inbetween 27-28C. so to adjust my ram speed i go to bios and up from 800 to a higher #?? in increments of ???

cpu says that i'm running my ram at 400MHz so that is 800MHz dual channel right?? also i uped my fsb again to 1400 and now my cpu is at 2450MHz and very stable!!!!

just an update i went in and changed the NB to 1.39v, chipset to 1.35v, unlinked the FSB and raised to 1200, so currently running OC'ed to 2100MHz. Running orthos as i'm typing this. Now once i get my FSB to where i want it what are some good stepps to OC'ing my Ram??? thanks

hey, i just updated to bios 0401.bin, cleared the cmos right after flash.. went in and set up the crucial to 4-4-4-12 2T and mem volts to 2.25, also the memory is in the black slots, and it booted right up!!!!! i thought that i was going to have a problem with it since it gave me trouble last...

dflcobra, what frequency are you running your RAM at? It sounds like we're in the same boat, which is bad--it means we could have a compatibility issue. It could be cleared up with a BIOS revision, but that's not an ideal solution, since it could take a while. I didn't test my system...

i'm running orthos right now on "blend- stress cpu and RAM" listening to limewire checking my e-mail and writing this..... cpu is around 30*C and MB is @28*C with the 4-4-4-12 2T timing and 2.25 volts went back into bios to make sure of that. i'm at 7mins right now...

hey your in luck my ram is also "16fb3" so it's the same batch. yes i did flash to 401 but when i was in 401 i never cleared my cmos or had the right timings in. Once i flashed back to bios 202 i set the proper timings and voltage i have yet to have a problem.. i'm just tring to get stable...

I'm still totally unstable with 0401 and only stable at 0202 if I underclock. I have: re-seated the RAM tried yellow slots, black slots, and one stick double-checked all power connections flashed to 0401, cleared CMOS, removed and replaced battery changed memory to 2T at default...
