PCLab a Polish hardware site has just posted there HD2900pro review. Showing that the 512 bit card is in fact a full fledged 2900xt just underclocked. Here is there graph of the xt, pro and pro oc in 3dmark 06:

Well the way you came into this thread didn't exactly give the "I'm completely not a nvidia fanboy" vibe. Not saying you are, just saying the way you have shown yourself in this thread kind of gives off that vibe.
Yeah I already know the 2900xt beats gts 320, 640 and sometimes gtx. Was wondering why he kept citing that old article. Well I just hope the pro is $250 or less and comes out Monday cause I want one.
Exactly as Cmd said. The big deal is that these 2900pro's are speculated as being 2900xt's that didn't make the cut. So you are basically getting a 2900xt for far less money. Also the 512bit bus and 512MB memory also make a big impact. Though I have seen on I believe it was HIS' site where the...
What would be mental about getting this card? Hell prices for us still aren't even known. If its around $250 price point this thing is a great card. Well the Limited edition ver with 521 bit is. Plus if they really are just down clocked xt's then its even better.
The Pros is not 256 bit. Its 512 bit. Here is a link to Gecubes officially announced HD2900pro.

According to Gecube its already shipping, but I have yet to see any us retailers listing it or a price. Also HIS' HD2900pro on there site...
Not sure on the 2950pro price, but according to the pic at vr-zone.com of amd's gpu release schedule 2950pro is not coming out till Q1 08. I hope the 2900pro is around $200 american. I need an upgrade to my x1900gt. Heat corrupted my memory to hell. Can't even play wow on it anymore.
I'm currently playing wow bc with a x1900gt rev.2. I play on a 19" screen at 1440x900 with 60fps at all times. Except we landing in shatt or if. Though I'm quite sure that my slow down then has more to do with my playing wow on vista with only a gig of ram. I'd say to play wow at 1920x1200 at...
I agree with you about the negative feedback actually getting something done. Problem is a lot of negative things I keep reading about vista are not actually problems with vista. Most of them are due to drivers.
