CPU thermal problem

Thanks Woodbutcher and Dream Operator and the others who made suggestions. I cleaned the factory stuff off and put a thin coat of new thermal grease and it is now operating at 41C instead of 82C. I am going to keep my fingers crossed that the problem is well in hand. I really appreciate all...

Is it okay to add to what is already on there, or should I scrape that off and start over? Thanks

CPU thermal problem

The cpu came with a fan and heatsink and the heatsink already had the compound on it. It looked like a square pad. It didn't say anything about adding any.

Intel 920

I can't find a sticker where the audio jacks are, but on the board itself it has in pretty big letters, CONROE, PRESLER, FSB1066 Dual Core CPU. On top of one of the smaller chips there is a sticker that says "775-DUAL-VSTA P2.20 -9A". Hope some of this helps. I appreciate your help. Delmer

Intel 920

Thanks for your reply, I am looking at the MB and I'm not sure where to look for that Rev number. I don't see anything where it has the word "Rev" written. I assume that means "revision". Would any other number give you a clue? Thanks, Delmer

Thanks for asking, the only gaming I do is Flight Simulator 2004. Mainly what I do is a lot of music and when you record audio into a computer it really loads up a CPU. I have been doing fine with a 64MB Geforce2 400 but the new mobo won't accept it. I think I could probably run the new...

Well, guys, I just found out that my old video card won't go into my ASRock 775 Dual Vista mobo. After buying memory, cpu (Intel 920 which I found out everybody hates), and mobo, I am just about tapped out. This mobo will accept AGP or PCI Express and I can't spend no more than a hundred bucks...

Hi, I need to know the voltage of an nvidea e-GeForce MX-400 64MB AGP. I think it's a 4X but not sure. I got this a long time ago and lost the specs. I would sure appreciate it if somebody knows anything about this. Trying to build a computer using some of my old stuff but if it's a 3.3...
