    lol. What I meant is that I haven't been on AT for a while. I've been in the loop with the hardware as I work with it on a daily basis. :) Maybe I will give it a shot for OCing but I really don't see a point. I'll probably just try it once to see how it does, check the temp, performance, etc.

    I don't have free time to waste. I like easiness/GUI etc... Mandrake has always seemed like the best distro for me, and I've tried a versions 6 and then 9... I haven't tried the latest, 9.2 though. I wonder if there are many improvements over 9 or 9.1?

    I've tried out shoutcast for winamp and it worked ok, but stopped working today for some reason. Gave me a bunch of trouble, and it also would skip out for the person listening on the other end, if I was doing anything with my comp - even though it wasn't lagging the computer on my end at all...

    Wow thanks Spyro just read up on all of that... I'm not sure if mine is affected or not. I have the 16x48x24x48x DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive, it starts with HL-...yaddyaddya.. so I might need updated firmware to avoid screwing it up. Definitely going to look into that before installing Mandrake. :)

    Dunno, I guess the combination of the PSU fan, the HD itself and the CPU fan make quite a bit of noise. In comparison to my sis' P83 system, and the old P166 system I just set up, it's hideously noisy. My CPU fan is the one that came with the CPU.
