I've had problems with a couple of Infinity Socket A Mobo's but nothing out of the ordianary considering I've been through close to a Dozen DFI Mobo's.

Neighbors Mobo is fried but the Hard Drive is fine so I'm trying to retrieve some Documents and stuff for them...I can not get the Hard Drive to Boot up Windows XP with any of my Puters but I can daisy chain it as one Slave behind one of my Puters...Problem is the Documents and Settings is not...

LOL...and like I wrote the chipset has to be e-SATA compatible which that one (865) is not...on the bright side it was the 1st chipset to run a native SATA Hard Drive and performs great whereas other Mobo's which used SATA emplyed a 3rd part chipset (ie.Promise, Highpoint, Marvell).
Much faster then the 1565 but still slower then NForces so Nvidia wouldn't need it and the sound solution is with the HD compatibility support as NVidia didn't have one whereas ATi has no need for it as they already have it......
On the 3.5" Cases most have the Voltage adapter plug is outside of the Case...if you didn't want to carry a bulky one then opting for a 5 1/4 or a larger/longer 3.5 would be the choice to make (Plus the 5 1/4 usually have better cooling)...I'm not in the market for one so I can not point you to...
Better of assembling it yourself IMO for a few reasons...
The HD 's will be interchangable so you can add a larger one when it's time.
Warranty on a Retail Hd can be as long as 5 yrs whereas most of the preassemble kits have only one year.

There are no prerequisites for SATAII HD's so cables have no requirements other than capabilities of reaching the 3.0 Gb/s. There are better cables being produced which have metal clips and/or L type hookups which may b required for SATA2.5. The only HD which meets SATA2.5 Specs on the market...
Delta fans are very well made ...hell AMD is using em and I remember when Globalwin released that loud monster of a fan which turned out to be a Delta and hit over 65dBa :P

From there I mount the Mobo with the HS/Fan and even RAM sometimes to the Case
Try flipping the plug around...mine works with the HD Tray i use but i haven't seen to many that work wth SATA's if that's wwhat you are referring to...
