In reply to cpmee from 18 DEC 07: I bought 2 sticks of DDR2 - 800 Corsair TWIN2x2048-6400C4 G from Newegg. I'm running 4-4-4-12 at "high" voltage with FSB:DRAM at 4:5. DRAM FREQ is 388.3 I can't find any vcore adjustments for the CPU voltage. Are there any? Still at 310 stable.

I'm @ 305 FSB on stock air and running orthos and OCCT without problems. Super Pi won't run, even at normal (266) FSB. I am running Vista 64bit, happily.

Crazy Cheap and SOLD OUT 8/24! OEM e6600 2.4GHz 4MB L2 for $129.99 + ship at Microcenter! e6700 for $189.99.

The Vista Ultimate Upgrade package cost me $126.00 on ebay. The new HD was $99 from Newegg. The used P4M was $12.50 on ebay. The 1.0G SODIMM was $90 from memoryup.com.

Thanks for responding, Dreadfunk. I have DDR 300. As far as a major upgrade goes, I would like to wait for PCIe 2.0 to become mainstream, as well as DDR3. By then, there will be lots of P38 mobos around. Thats why I only really want to upgrade the CPU (and of course the necessary mobo).

Thanks for the link. I already checked those .pdf files out. Dell does't have one about opening the laptop other than changing HD or battery. I don't think that they want to provide a DYI with any info on opening the laptop to access the CPU. Any other ideas? Thanks
