an agreement has finally been made to unrestrict cablecard's for pc's. meaning, you dont need an OEM machine, which means a few more manufacturers will be making cards now. look for some by xmas, or spring. it doesnt look like they will be 2way yet (you cant watch ON DEMAND content or...
well, i see why i switched from here to hard... immaturity. like i said- there is lots still on hard, but it's not really tolerated. around here it seems normal to be a smart little bitch. and with about 10x the amount of posts here, its really easy to get lost in the shit before you get...
i love when people here tries to outwit someone else wit that they don't think is worth a shit.
and we don't protect f/s trolls on Hard, honestly it's been by far the safest f/s forum ive seen yet. and the best prices too
i dunno, both hard and anand forums can get really immature at times.... and both have a wealth of information. i do seem to find better deals in the fs and hot deals section on hard though...
Hardocp is finally down for awhile. looks like they need new management and got it... in the meantime, you guys here at anandtech will welcome the visitors, right? ;) :D

furthermore- we already have the clean renewable infrastructure here. available now. been here for over 100 years. its called electricity.
the ONLY reason we are (and everyone else) is dependant on oil is because our battery technology STINKS! if we could develop a long lasting battery...
huh? the whole idea to become energy dependent on renewable energy would mean MUCH cheaper gas.. i see us going right back to the days of $1.50/gallon fuel... no problem...
OP sounds like a true expediter to me. those are the guys that oversee the job and help out whenever they feel like it. you got to have some experience first though.
its going to be hard to find a construction job that isnt stressful. go for the highest paying job you can, because the...
well if anyone wonders why this country lets (and encourages) women to have as many babies as possible.... like ive always said "were gonna have to fight the chinks someday"
I paused for a few minutes to try to decide if you were just trying to be funny. I guess it doesn't matter - I'm...
wtf? i never told anyone to be selfish. you all are tellin me that im selfish. what i said was to COMPROMISE. let the bbq happen a few times a summer, whats the big deal? if your lungs are that weak then... well... darwinism....
qft!!
overall i thought the show was lame but it would be good for kids. the chick was hot so it wasnt horrible but... i guess its on par with the original...
yes, it does. but thats a non-issue for me. i do understand why its a pain, especially when you have multiple tuners.
anyone actually try mycast.orb.com on your phone? my q9c pops up the page but when i try to login it says invalid password/login?
this is very strange, orb has been...
marketing always works like this. everything goes in waves and trends like to be followed. remember clear cola? or the word "revolution" in everything after 9/11? its just the way companies do it, i guess so they dont seem out-of-style or off-the-wall.
or how about athlonXP's when...
have you tried to use the xp drivers for that scanner? i find most scanner/printer stuff still works with old drivers...
edit- google first hit- http://driverzone.com/forum/ar...x.php/thread-1968.html
jesus christ dude, youve gone way too far. you dont want to have enemies for neighbors!
How about this- you tell your landlord you dont care if your neighbor has a bbq twice a month or something. how can you feel good about taking away someone's rights? its just a damn bbq man, let...
i used ultravnc with xp all the time, loved it. but its been nothing but problems on vista... i know they fixed many problems but for some reason i just cant get it to work at all.
i now use teamview. works and very simple.
what new category is this again? for as long as i can remember you could always buy a high-end laptop with virtually the same horsepower as a strong desktop.....
i ran 2gb on my desktop with vista since day one rtm. i have recently added another 1GB and i hardly notice a difference at all. i use this machine for everything from internet to games to video encoding too. fact is 2gb in vista is absolutely ok.. of course if you want the best gaming...
that was the impression i had. furthermore, isnt a requirement for windows media center that you must have hardware encoding? i thought thats what made ati cards as compatible as they are. my tv wonder 650pro taxes my cpu maybe 10% at most ever.. its certainly not running in software.
yeah no kidding... its like my phone isnt compatible with orb at all anymore... very strange. maybe theyre finally ready to start raping us with fees? :D
im sorry man... i should have checked. its not working right on my q9c either. on any web browser i have... it seems something is wrong.
it works fine on my desktop still...
i never would have thought it would be a problem until i saw what my DFI nf4 board does to power supplies. well, then again i guess i thought an antec smart power 400 was a quality supply too (no way!)
there should be a way to change it... i had my q9c pop up orb as a mobile page for awhile, but ever since i started using opera mini4 it works much better as a desktop page.
i tend to stick with ATI or Hauppauge cards simply for the good compatibility. i only use vista media center, so i need well-known cards so i can install them without hassle. plus, ati generally makes good tuners no matter what model it is....
i wouldnt be surprised if it ran the system ok, and i wouldnt be surprised if it doesnt even boot up. your right on the edge asking what your asking, good luck!
