Question Should I upgrade 3770k 4.6ghz to Core i5 9400f

Well I've yet to come across a game where my Oc'd 1080 doesn't produce 60fps at 1440p. I ran the newly released MW5 beta during the weekend and was getting poor GPU utilization so I thought maybe it was due to a CPU bottleneck, on second thought, being a beta, it probably just isn't properly...

Thanks guys. I guess I'll wait a bit longer. I have been thinking about maybe going for a 9600KF and trying to overclock to around 5Ghz. Heat shouldn't be a problem, my current WC loop keeps my 3770k under control. Also, it seems I can even reuse my waterblock, apparently socket 1155 and...

Question Should I upgrade 3770k 4.6ghz to Core i5 9400f

So for a pure gaming system I have the opportunity to upgrade from a WC 3770k with 16gb of 1600 mhz DDR3 running at 4.6ghz to a Z370 mb and Core i5 9400f with 16gb of 3000mhz DDR4 for about $150. My GPU is a GTX 1080. I don't game as much as I used to but it seems to me like a worthwhile...

So you're saying the Deluxe edition basically has nothing worthwhile over the standard edition? The battlepacks only provide skins that effectively don't change the actual effectiveness of the weapons?

Battlefield 1 Benchmarks (Gamegpu & the rest)

Can anybody point me to an article that mentions how the different Video options/levels affect fps/visual quality. I'm running a 290x (1125mhz) and what like to try to optimize vid options in order to maintain close to 60fps @1440p, in other words optimize my config.

Jon Stewart Stepping Down!

I don´t think it´s fair to compare Stewarts format to Olivers. Stewart has 5 shows per week dealing with current news headlines. Oliver´s show is once a week, so he can pick and chose what content to actually focus on, needs less filler, etc. Stewart is the greatest interviewer ever.

It depends how flexible you want to be with point #4, I don´t think I´ve ever even heard of an open world sim. Give TDU2 or Grid Autosport a try, you should be able to get them pretty cheap by now.

I don´t have time to game as much as I used to so I enjoy GRID Autosport inmensely for what it is... an arcade racing game with some simulation style elements thrown in. Plays great with an X360 gamepad as well. Although I´m sure Asseto Corsa is better in every conceivable way, I just don´t...

I know exactly what you mean, for some reason that game (MOH Warfighter) was a complete commercial disaster, but the single player campaign was great. I didn´t really mess with multiplayer though.

I run an overclocked 290x and overclocked 3770K off of a Corsair HX650. You should be fine. Does this mean used 290x´s will have to go for under $200? I would love to get a reference 290x and water cool it.

I always thought the rated output of a 620w PS would be 620 watts (620w available to power his pc), considering 85% efficiency it could pull as much as 729w from the wall. Why not try it before wasting money on a new PS he, IMO, probably does not need. OCP should kick in before he does any...

GTX 970/980 owners thread

I ran Gtx 680 sli with a 2600K all overclocked on a 5 year old Corsair HX 650. Would never go over 500 watts while gaming. And that is running a WC pump as well.

Warning: Nvidia GPUs do not play well with others

Neither is perfect, SLI and Crossfire especially. I vowed to stick to single cards after having problems with both camps when running dual gpus.
