HEY ATDC! It's been quite a few years now. I figured I'd pop in since I still see quite a few familiar names. If I didn't live in a place where electricity costs an arm and a leg, I'd probably join in the race again. I have quite a bit of hardware sitting around and miss the F@H races...
This intrigues me. I wonder if I will participate for the first time in a few years. Generally, 99% of the points I have in F@H were through December races, borging as many machines as possible. :P

I still managed to stay at top 1,503 in the world with my measly 164 million without folding at all in the past 3 years. 3 BILLION. That's crazy talk right there. I remember for two weeks my PPD was above yours, and that was by borging a cluster. You're crazy Mark.

I've won something once from AT. They got me passes to Qualcomm's Mobile Linq Conference in San Diego. It was pretty sweet. Met with industry. Yelled drunkenly at the CEO of Qualcomm. Fun stuff.

Damnit guys. Since the race, I bought a E5-1620v4, realized it wasn't enough for my work, and upgraded to a E5-2620v4. I should've just gotten a used E5-2883v3 for the same price!

For how close the GTX 1070 is to the GTX 1080 in performance (10%?), the extra cost of power is negligible for being $250+ less. $250 to cover the difference in power would be a long time in the making.
Sorry about the whole non-production thing guys. I've been really busy with work around the holidays and never had time to set up a system. Next year I'll be building a new systems for the first time in a few years, so it should be more interesting... if I'm still in the country.

FYI, I'll only be partaking in the second race, from Dec 1st until December 7th. I won't be able to maintain my PPD for an entire month. So unfortunately I won't be able to claim my spot in the top 5 of the team or back in the top 1000 folders in the world...
I'm still contemplating. I don't have any machines to borg at the moment so it won't be like my crazy PPD of old. If I had $20,000, I could probably do some awesome PPD with 32 GPUs and 2x bigADV clients running. :P
I figured people would respond, so I'm back... for the next 30 seconds!
Unfortunately the only working box I have left is a AMD FX-8130 with a half-fried GTX 680. Everything else is sitting in a storage closet. Most stuff I run now is in "the cloud".

Still at F@H after all these years. To be honest, I haven't folding with GPUs in a few years (GTX 260's were the last GPU I folded on). I have 3x SMP (generally around 32 threads) servers that I'm currently running for around 220k PPD each.

(I almost forgot about this... don't worry. I don't have too much to borg this year. I just missed out on a bunch of 16-core/32-thread 128GB servers... say... qty 80?)
