Do you have to play AGAINST your girl friend? What about just being on the same team? When my friend and I used to play AoE2, we would play on the same team and see how many AI opponents we could beat. For a longer, build-up game, increase the number of opponents rather than the difficulty...

I'm pretty interested in this game, but I'm in a situation now (new baby) where I can't commit any chunk of time to a game. Basically, I need to be able to pause the game and get up at a moment's notice. Is SP mode at all enjoyable? I assume there is some sort of skirmish set up.

My 8800 GTS died on me . Two questions....

What is the best Defense flash OR retail game/mod?

I always thought Desktop Tower Defense was considered to be the most solid TD game. Admittedly, though, this is one of the few that I've played, so I'm going purely on reputation.

Having some Civ4 issues..

Sometimes it does. In the game I'm playing now, I discovered a hut within the first 10 turns that gave me a settler. As you can imagine, I'm dominating the game. That is a very lucky scenario, of course, but I have always found hut-hunting irresistable in Civ games.

Civilization 4 for $15 -- is the AI any good?

I actually picked it up yesterday. I couldn't resist for only $15. I was about to patch to v1.74 when I saw that many players recommend staying with the previous patch (1.61?). I'm not sure if this is the current thinking, but it didn't look like it was a necessary patch anyway...

Civilization IV, worth getting?

windows VISTA sharing questions

I think this is a known issue with Vista...or at least it was when I looked into it a year ago. Same thing happens with my computers. Vista can't see the XP computer.

Cancelled Age of Conan, went back to WoW

The best MMO I've played since quitting WoW is City of Heroes. From what I understand, it has improved dramatically since the early days. There are many aspects about it that are even better than WoW.

reccomend a FPS game for my laptop :)

Red Orchestra is the most immersive that I've played. There is no single player, so it's strictly multiplayer, but I've actually found myself ducking while being shot at by an MG42.

Once my computer goes to sleep

Yes, you can select "Never" as a sleep option in Power Management. This is a known problem with Vista. Interestingly, some Vista users have the opposite problem of their computers waking up after 10 min or so of being asleep.
