Browser rant - shifting screen - gotcha again

Oh I have ad blocker on my PC at home and it works pretty good stopping pop-up ads etc. I appears the problem with page jumping around is mainly due to stuff loading and changing positions of the page until it's all settle down.

How can I tell how much memory my G card has?

I have a Saphire 4650 HD - yes and ancient card but I don't game much anymore - but forgot how much memory it has. It isn't on the card - I've looked in the control panel in Device manager - haven't found it. What is a way I can show graphics memory? Thanks

Yes, it was one of the latter day fat models - single beep then off. Blew out the dust but didn't change anything. I could try replacing the power supply or if there is some place with close out specials as the last guy suggested -- if I can find any.

Wife doesn't want laptop, but thanks for the suggestion. Went with a refurb Win 7 64 bit Dell Opt 755 w/4 gb ram, installed existing linksys wireless card and cheap 3D Radeon HD video card with VGA and DVI outputs for dual monitors. Not amazing but for $16x out of pocket, it is a big step up...

Thanks for the reminder on the memory costs, that does factor in. I'll check the low profile system to see if the video adaptor is an issue. There should be low profile cards available that I can use, as long as I can use the 2nd monitor plug.

Agree about the Dell 755. BTW, I have the full tower Dell 745/755/760's at work and open them up all the time, change the RAM etc. They all have 4 slots. Some have 4x512 in them for 2 total, so I don't know how the ones at the vendor are populated. But being that they have 7 to choose from...
