8800 card- can I , should I, will it help?

Weird vista Media Center problem

I bought an e4300 last year as my base 775 platform cpu.

Similar setup here as well. 4300 OC to 3.0 and a 7600 GPU. After 14 months, I am still satisfied with this rig. I too was looking at possible upgrades this past month (8800, 9600, new CPU etc..) and came to the conclusion this meets my needs. I did upgrade to 4gb RAM and am now running Vista 64...

Overclock experiences with G. Skill 2GB kit??

I have had good success with them. Specs in my sig. I am not able to get them to run stable at anything better than 4-4-4-12 1T. But I am pleased with stability and performance at that level. My regret is they are now $40 cheaper than when I bought :(

thank- grill was removed when I opened up the cowl in the front. But I understand what you are saying about rear fan sucking more air across mb. Guess I should just be happy with what I have, stop modifying the thing start using it. got nice avg OC going, temps in the mid 30's idle, low 50'...

thanks for the feedback. I gave it a shot- 2c higher w/o the rear case fan. so now I know. Fan is back in. ..but then I started thinking some more (bad thing) what about a duct from the 9500 straight to the opening....hmmmm one less fan, less noise. May give it a shot this weekend.
