X99 Boards - Whats on your wish list?

That looks pretty perfect thanks - not sure how I missed it. And I've had good experience with Asus in the past (though it has been a while, I think the last board I had was a p5b deluxe - wow) so this is great. Much appreciated.

Heh yes I mean PCIe, not PCI (or PCI X -- I've yet to find anyone who actually had a PCI X card, though they must be out there...). At the moment I wouldn't be fully utilizing all those slots/lanes, but I want to have the option to expand in the future without having to buy/install a new mobo...

So it's been years since I built a PC - since I think 2007 in the Core 2 Duo days. Back then I was just messing around and making a OC'd gaming rig. These days my needs are a bit more demanding - multi-core and RAM are what I need most, with PCI expansion a close second, and storage third...

Asus P5B Deluxe MB Temps

Anyone who's interested... I did what I planned - removed north and southbridge heatsinks and reapplied thermal compund (used AS5) and also pulled the "asus" cover off the NB heatsink.. the included fan did not fit on the heatsink because of my Tuniq tower. I also reseated my tuniq, FWIW...

Thanks for your reply - from what I can tell the sensor is OK... I think this weekend I am going to pull the heatsinks off the the North- and Southbridge and apply AS5, as well as pull the silly "asus" cover off the NB heatsink. I'll also try some better cable management and see if that helps my...
