I tried loosened timing but cannot get anything better. I am going to return the mobo and probably get a different E6600 in case I got a dud. The mobo came with a broken memory clip anyway, so I should certainly get that fixed.
What are your thought, though? Did I get a crappy E6600 or is...
Wow, I am jealous! I cannot even maintain stability without using a 1.6 vcore at 3.4GHz. I am grossly disappointed in the E6600 and the Asus Commando MB, especially after reading how others have EASILY hit higher speeds at voltages with the Tuniq Tower. Just my luck... I may be returning...
I do have the ram, yes. I know it runs stable at ddr1000, but you never know I guess. I may loosen to 4-4-4-12 or maybe even 5-5-5-12 if necessary. Thanks for the tip!
I have my Tuniq mounted the exact same way, so the air from the fan should be pushed out the back then. I think the mounting is good and my screws aren't overly tight, but not quite all the way down till I can't turn them anymore - I don't want to bend the board.
I dunno if my Commando is...
I can't even hit 3.2GHz without a vcore of 1.45, so I think that OC is very nice. I too use the Tuniq Tower but am unimpressed with how high I could overclock my E6600 on stock volts. I am wondering if I got a due E6600 or perhaps mounted the Tuniq Tower wrong. Mashed, how is your Tuniq...
I have a Tuniq Tower 120, Asus Commando motherboard, an E6600 and 2 gigs of G.Skill DDR1000 memory (rated at 4-4-4-5 @2.2 V) and I cannot overclock very well either. I too am wondering if I got a crap E6600. My stepping is L640A820. I couldn't even hit 3.0GHz without rasing the vcore. Right...
I just built a similar system but am using the Asus Commando. Either my cooling isn't as good inside the case as yours or my chip is a dud because I need to run a vcore of 1.5 (1.45 according to speedfan, probably due to vdroop) to maintain stability at 3.2 (lame). I am also using the Tuniq...
Thanks, Gary. I did up the voltage to NB 1.5 and ran orthos overnight. It had passed 11 hours when I came down this morning. So I opened Asus Probe to check temps for the MB and I got a brief blue screen of death followed by my PC rebooting. Anyone know what would have caused this? My MB...
I just received my Asus Commando, E6600, tuniq tower and G.Skill DDR1000 (rated at 4-4-4-5 @2.3V) memory. I installed everything and widows installed without a hitch, but I can't even maintain stability for more than a minute using prime95/orthos when overclocked. I overclocked to 3.2GHz and...
