Electric problem in the house? Can I solve this with a UPS?

Who was 'they'? An electrician, or the power company? I guess it's a difference of who pays for the repair, but I'm a bit afraid of calling the power company, having them say 'it's a problem in the house' and charging me a service fee or whatever

I did my BIOS reset, and it came back thinking it was Jan 1 2006. However, still no go on the video card working. I also updated my chipset drivers, while looking through possible updates for my motherboard, with no luck. I'm pretty stumped.

It was the latest that I could find. I got the file specific to my motherboard from Intel's site (updated 5/29/2012), and it installed successfully. I then reset all my BIOS settings to default and rebooted with the new card - no good. I'll try pulling the battery out to let all the settings...

Frequent Bluescreens since installing Vista

bah bluescreened again! I'm beginning to wonder if this is a driver issue, my programs have been crashing a large amount lately as well. I would bet money it's either my RAM or HDD right now. I will run some hard diagnostics soon and report my findings.
