AMelbye,if it makes you feel better i'm stuck at 1500 FSB too, and that is totally stable for 24/7. I can boot up to 1550 FSB but it requires to much voltage and it's far from stable. To be honest, after months with this setup( see sig.),I think that is about the max OC most people are getting...

Do you think experimentation comes from fact that it's a 800 mhz ram you're running, and not 667 or 533?What was the cause of instability, and how did you solve the problem? Thanks

If CoreTemp 0.95 shows Tjunction temp of 100C which I think it does then you're well within safe limits, because in case of Tjunction temp of 100C thermal throttling starts when Core 0 and Core 1 temps are at 95-98 C.Conlclusion:you have another 30 C headroom.Still, watch your core temps when you...

Zalman is fine for E4300,but it won't be for Q6600.You see, when Q3 price cutt kicks in I'll be probably buying one of those. So,while you're still active at this forum just one query:I see you have Ninja with hr-05(on NB I pressume),so they fit together, right? Also, does Ninja fit with stock NB...

Probe II CPU Temp is the same one as Temp 1 in SpeedFan,but CoreTemp doesn't read or display that temp. You'll have to give me Temp1,Core 0 and Core 1 temps in SpeedFan,than I can tell if your temps are ok.

It's Core Temp 0.95,right?0.95 shows correct temp values, because at room temp of 24C(75F) there is no way core temps can stay as low as 45C.What cpu temp asus probe II measures?

If throttling occures than rm clock gives you warning in notification area and sound warning as well.If you're under 90 it's ok because it kicks in at about 95-98 C.

Please tell me that is not true. In that case my E4300 reaches 90 degrees in 30 seconds of orthos... You two are being saved by thermal throttling.Download RM Clock Utility 2.2 http://cpu.rightmark.org/download.shtml, go to monitoring section and see for yourself.I just found out yesterday...

Your problem is your cooler, "Core2Duo E4300 @ 3.0, Zalman 7000B-AlCu". I had a Zalman 7000cu and gave it a shot, but that old technology was just not efficient at getting the heat away from a hot chip like a C2D. Get something better with heatpipes. We have the same chip, look at my sig...

Zip,I see you're running E4300 at 1512 FSB at 1.525V.What CPU cooler you use and what temps do you get at 1.525V?Is it Orthos stable at that speed?Max stable FSB for me is 1425 at 1.525V and temps go up to 79 C in CoreTemp, and 64 C in Probe II.
