Either way would be a welcome change from the past. Plugging and unplugging from the back of iMac or Mac mini is a PITA when you don't have a hub.

It would seem that there are more differences than simply the L2 cache and SLC.
Wouldn't that be because of AMD's fab partners not meeting volume expectations? Qualcomm would surely have the same issue, especially if they wish to grab larger marketshare.
Of course, I don't know how much chip design and binning decisions plays a role in meeting chip volume and sales.

I'd like to think that with a decent heatsink, it'll be less likely to throttle, not throttle as much, or not until an extended time. Plus, it may give Apple an opportunity to up the clock slightly.
