Video Camera Help

Hey, Does anyone have any good suggestions on ways to find the "best deal" on a camcorder? I have narrowed my choice down to the sony dcr-pc9 due to excellent reviews and some epinion.com comments... Also, is there a hardware forum someone might recommend for video camera talk? Thanks!

What Versions of WIn XP will there be? I know about Home and Pro. what about Server?

Server will not be released in this phase. The new server class OS's will come soon and are undergoing major development to enhance the .NET services ideas behind Microsoft's strategies...

It is VERY cool. BUT >>> It is still linux, therefore it is not an end-user OS, and it takes an incredible amount of fiddling for app installation, and the like. I recommend the new windows OS. By far the nicest, smoothest operating system around. OS X just flat out is too slow.

HELP!!! WIN2K - IDE problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, my IDE drive (western digital 20g ata66) keeps getting listed as a scsi device under the hardware manager for window2000 anyone know whats up with that? I cant seem to get it to correctly recognize the type of hard drive it is... I have the via drivers, the win2k sp1 and yada yada every...

Whistler --- OpenGL, SystemWorks, and Zip drive

dont bother with the bug report, thats just to put peoples mind at ease... Whistler is based on NT. NOT on win9x. You should use 6.47 geforce drivers, and the agp fixes for your motherboard. I run the latest builds for Whistler everyday, and I can run everything that runs on win2k just fine...

Windows2000 vs. Windows98. Which is better?

invest in a kicka$$ vid card and get win2k... That way, the trade off in speed isnt noticeable... Win2k is better on so many levels, win98 is not even comparable...

um, how exactly can you back that up? benchmarks? Apple could sell piles of dung, paint them in very interesting ways, and call them computers, and apple die hards will insist that they have the most amazing pile of cr@p ever invented. (which they do)

I think we now see eye to eye... and I agree with nearly everything you just wrote... Just remember, when MS releases a product, they have usually done so with the full force of their testers having raked over the product as much as they possibly could have with the money that was available...

Were you installing something? or did it just up and die one minute? I would try the following: 1. reset the bios jumper 2. set the cpu to normal speed 3. buy another duron if 1 and 2 dont work

MY GeForce2 GTS Has arrived but i have to wait till christmass.
