using rtv can scar the chip unless its not (acid cure) check the back if it says anything about acidic anything its not what you want you need neutral cure (warranty purpose only) other wise it wouldnt matter i use the thermal tape ,pads suck :P
well on my p3v4x its a close one i could put one in it but the alpha would lean on it ....me thinks that is a bad idea so i put it in 2,3,4

after i freed up my irq s abit my ddr went to irq 5 also its been on 10 or 11 for the longest time and the other were fighting for an irq now it changes damn computer cant make up its mind ....
i believe in the reviews the only time it was any faster was in the highest resolutions and all the eye candy absolutey possible most of us dont have 21 inch monitors or can afford them so the extra is of no appeal to me yet did i say yet ? might be later right now 32 is fine
im not sure about your problems but all the features work on mine and i got 913 out of my 550e before i used a heatsink on my ics chip now its just more stable with it
well ditch the stock cooler .its not worth too much put a pentium style cooler on it and some thermal tape its a way better ,cooler and it will do you more justice,oh dont heat or cool it just pop it off with a screw driver mine was that way do it up by the little hole in the board safest...
i dont know what to tell you if you think a p3 doenst have much overclok ability how come my 550e will do 913 or 825 . my p3 450 will do 600 easy .the cel 2 doesnt stand up to p3 thats my 2 cents
oh yea does that mean that geforces are a peice of doo doo also ive read numerous problems with them also why dont you look them up all kinds of people have problems with them and people still keep buying them one right after another ..just my two cents :P
new boards new problems same thing with all new stuff ,i can say im very happy with my p3v4x i had a little trouble gettingup and going but if you follows directions like your supposed to most people wouldnt have some of these problems ,i beleive its a standard when you change motherboards...
THE ICS CHIPSET WAS CAUSING HEAT PROBLEMS THAT WHY THEY CHANGED IT THEY SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH A BETTER CHIP THO INSTED OF LOSING 16 SPEEDS THATS WHAT MADE THIS BOARD WHAT IT IS !32FSB SPEEDS :P
I JUST GOT THRU MAKING SOME TWO FOR MY 6800 AND ONE FOR MY ICS CHIP BUT AS LONG AS IT TOOK ME TO MAKE THEM LOOK GOOD I COULD HAVE BOUGHT THEM AND SPENT LESS MONEY PLUS THEM ALPHA SINKS ARE PRETTY TUFF TO BEET IT LOOKS LIKE SURFACE AREA WISE ,BUT I WAS BOARD ANYWAYS SO HEY I GOT MINE YOU GOT YOURS ?
