Many thanks for your input but im not much into overclocking. Do the R9-290 and 290x, really have that much difference in performance than the 280x?

Is it possible to use an 7950 3GB and a 6950 2GB on the same system?

Hmmm so from what i see it is indeed as you say - a much more expensive GPU is needed in order to reach the 60fps count. Thanks again.

Thanks for your input. I didnt know that 60fps in DX11 needed so much horsepower in order to run properly. My ress is 1920x1080... the PC is connected to a 32inch Sony Bravia HDTV via HDMI which i use for gaming purposes only. For all the other work i do on my PC, i use a typical 21inch LED display.

I have to agree with our friend here as well. 64GB (even if it is basically for an OS installation/management alone), seems like the kind of space that would fill up way too quickly. Go for a 120GB drive.

Which card is generally superior - 560TI or 6950?

Fermi based cards can have weird behaviours and equally weird compatibility issues http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=187401. I still believe however that Nvidia cards have better image quality and better driver support than AMD cards.

Who has better picture quality AMD or NVIDIA?

Hmmm i switched from a Radeon HD4850 to a Geforce 460 Ti not long ago and i got to say that Nvidia has much better picture quality. But then again, im suspecting that things have been improved in AMD's newer models...

The 4xx series was/is plagued with compatibility problems throughout http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=187401 Personally, i had to buy and install a different motherboard in order to have the card working properly. What can i say man. To reduce manufacturing costs probably.

Just because you (thankfully) had flawless performance with your cards, doesnt mean that there isnt a problem, or that many others dont have problems. As it is said in the thread i posted, the cards either work properly with some motherboards or not at all. Stop being a jerk. I use this one...
