I have win2000 with 512MB ram. Currently I have a 13.5GB w/ my OS and a 2nd 40GB with my swap file. I'm thinking of getting rid of both and replacing w/ a single 120GB drive. Will my performance be worse w/ swap happy apps?
Can I get win2000 to use the swap file less?

I have this board and after 2 months now and I've heard of high RMA rates for Abit and problem with them dying after 6 months.
To anyone with this board for an extended period of time....it it still working and how long have you had it?
Also, has anyone run the board w/o the northbridge fan...
I have an ultra66 card in my system and my HP 10x burner as the only thing connected on it. When I burn any cd (just regular data) the cpu usage is ~30%. Also mp3's I play during burning have crackling sounds (mx300). BTW, I have a AMD 1200mhz, 512mb ram.
How long can I expect my northbridge fan to work? I got an Abit k7ta. I've had many little fans go bad in a year in the past.
Would removing the fan and leaving only a heatsink mess up my system if I'm not overclocking the bus (KT133a).?
Ok, lets say I get a new 633 and o/c to 950MHz. Will my overall performance (program loads, media player) be much faster if any? I have 112MHz bus now on my 300a and getting a 950 would make me lower my FSB to 100MHz. I don't do much gaming and stability is a must.

When i use the arrow keys to scroll through my MP3 folders, it is slow compared to win98 like it is trying to read info from each file (maybe a feature of new media player). How do I turn this off?
