Alright - I think I know what messed up trim for me - I'm pretty sure it was unchecking and then rechecking "Enable Write Caching ..." and "Turn off Windows write-cache buffer ..." boxes in the Policies Tab in Device Manager. I have disabled Link Power Management using the RST app and trim...

Yes - I found and modded the lookup table in the 12.0.0.1783 orom, inserted the modded orom into the bios, flashed the mobo and installed the new RST 12.0.0.1083 and trim was reported to be working under Win7 Home Premium x64 according to the trimcheck 0.4 tool for my 2-Intel 320 80 GB SSD's in...

@ Fernando Dufus SATA ID Tool shows Alternate Device ID as 3B25. I edited the 11.6.0.1702 option rom myself using HxD and overwriting the hex values 3B25 0000 07 - appears as 25 3B 00 00 07 in hex at Offset 00001BB20 02 03 04 05 06. (sorry don't know how to insert an image).

Oops! Looks like I was wrong about trim enabled on my P7P55D-E LX. I looked at the wrong location when I checked the disk in HxD. Anyway, trim is NOT working using the option rom mod. Am intensely interested in whether Dufus can enlighten us about exactly how he edited the rom.

Using Fernando's easy trim test it appears to me that trim now works for my 2x intel 80GB 320 SSD's in raid0 under Win7 x64 on my ASUS P7P55D-E LX main board on the Intel Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller running IRST 11.6.2.1002 after updating the bios using OROM...

Bozo Galora I wrote my previous post before I saw your post. I noticed the write cache box available on your screen shot. It's still greyed out for my raid0 drives, but I didn't try the intel hack w/ ahci enabled, maybe that's the trick, or maybe it only works for a single drive, not raid...

Problem with my GIGABYTE GA-965G-DS3

Thanks to vailr and Bozo Galora for jm driver info. I used the jm 363 version 16.1 extracted f6 drivers from Station Drivers for my raid0 and ide dvd devices for my ds3 rev 2 xp pro build in January. I wasn't able to use the later jm f6 drivers at that time because xp didn't recognize them...

vailr: I noticed in your dev man SCSI and RAID controllers is a SCS/RAID Host Controller. No one else seems to have this device in their dev man. What does it do for you? Can you enable Raid Write Cache?
