RECOMMENDATIONS: 22" monitor for gaming ??

No one makes a good CRT anymore though. Seems like you have to buy used. Also, if you live in a warm climate, the heat from the CRT is definitely NOT welcome. I have found anything under 6ms response time to be perfectly fine for FPS gaming.

Full hardware upgrade with Vista

Does BF2142 run on Vista64?

I had to work with it in Vista 64-bit. Was running with 2 gigs and was somewhat unstable, upgraded to 4 gigs and it works fairly well. I will get a crash to desktop once every 3-4 hours during game play.

how much of a difference does a good mouse make?

The addition of the extra buttons was a large benefit to me (I went from a 2 button + wheel mouse to a 7 button mouse). Once I became comfortable using those additional mouse buttons is really helped me switch weapons and kits quickly and without glancing at the keyboard and taking my fingers...

4Gig memory problem

Thanks guys. Although I've built computers for a long time, I have never done any overclocking what so ever, so I'm sure these are total newbie questions... I can find the setting to up the DIMM voltage easily. It appears to be in +.1V increments, how high should I have to (or dare I) go...

Last minute advice... before I order

There is supposed to be a price reduction on intel products on April 22nd, just a couple days and it looks like ~10-20% reductions. So I would wait until Monday at least to see how things pan out.
