Awaiting delivery of my new Core I7 860 of course I'm gonna OC
got some DDR3 2000 to hell me with that (hoping to get to 4Ghz)
I was shopping around for LGA 1156 coolers and the picking seems to be slim.
My MoBo doesn't have any heatsinks on the voltage regulators so I would like something...
I'm having the same problem with my Q6700 i am using the xigmatek s1283 also.
I also tried a scythe zipang but the results were pretty much the same...
Case is an Antec 1200 so definately no airflow issues...
I've tried orienting the cooler so the fan blows up towards the 200mm fan, that...
I have the same issue with my P5Q Deluxe.. I'm using the Xigmatek HDT-S1283
That huge bend in the MoBo scares me...
My temps are scary also.. my Q6700 running at 3.6 GHz idles around 45 and under stress around 77 celsius. Voltage is set to 1.45
I'm in love with this board.
Got my Q6700 ES to 3.6 GHz without breaking a sweat. I could probably go higher but I'm afraid to pump any more voltage into my chip, I'm already @ 1.525 in the bios and full load temps are in the high 60's. With my Gigabyte 965P I was hardly able to get the same...
Got my 1200 at MicroCenter for $179.
My best case yet, even though it's steel it's very light.
The leds don't bother me as much as i thought they would (they kinda grew on me)
Yeah what he said.
Most benchmarks show that 99% of Applications/Games aren't optimized to realize the full potential of a quad, so a higher clocked dual will outperform a quad which normally do not OC quite as well as most duallies.
I almost pulled the trigger on one last nite, but my E6600 is running at 3.42ghz.
Even if I did OC the E7200 to 4ghz or better i don't think the difference would be that significant.
That sounds about right my 4400 on the same board running at 3.2GHz with default voltage idle temp is around 27-29c.
I haven't stressed it so I don't know what it is under load.
I can't see both drives failing at the same time.
Check cables, different sata ports, firmware, OS, try drives in different system.
I have the same drive and aside from being a little loud while burning at 20X it has been hassle free.
I have to agree with the e43/e4400 recommendations.
Just put together a HTPC comprising of e4400, gigabyte p35-ds3r and 2gb of corsair c4 memory $330 after $40 corsair rebate at newegg.
On the first attempt 2.8Ghz 8X350
I'm sure I could get more out of this chip but I don't want to generate...
I just placed an order for a Lian Li PC-A10B, just as roomy as the stacker, motherboard tray is removable as well and seems pretty quiet from all the reviews
I'm seriously considering getting one of these to replace my P180.
I've gotten spoiled by how quiet the P180 is.
So my question is how loud is the Stacker 830/832?
Please describe your fan configurations/settings.
And if you've owned both a P180 and Stacker 830/832 how do they compare?
The P180 is very quiet but it gets cramped and hard to work in.
My needs are decent airflow, somewhat quiet and room to muck around (yes I like to tinker with my system)
So far I kinda like these
Cooler Master Stacker 832
Lian Li PC-101
Lian Li PC-V1000
Please suggest similar...
I had the same problem when I bought my X2 3800 in 2005.
I called MSI support and I think it was the bios or the AMD drivers, sorry I forgot exactly what it was.
I'm almost sure it was BIOS because every other time when I re-installed xp to the same system both cores showed up without any...
I can attest to there helpfulness also.
The door hinge on my P180 broke and like the OP said I was hoping to buy a replacement but they just shipped me a replacement absolutely free.
I want to try a Lian Li case but I've read the horrible customer service post on this and other boards.
Anyone knows what are the normal voltages for NB, DDR2, PCI-E, FSB, and MCH?
Just curios this MoBo doesn't tell you the normal voltage it just tells you how you've added.
Thanks in advance.
Tried search but I got 0 hits
They got me on that one.
I have no brand loyalty, who ever makes the better product with competitive pricing gets my money.
I would like to see AMD being competitive in the future but at the moment they have very little to offer the consumer.
There brand new 2900XT just manages to keep...
I think the heatsink is the problem on these boards. I threw a 50mm fan on mine and it didn't seem to have an effect on the NB one bit, 44°c before and after.
Stop whining about side doors my P180 has cost me 2 hard drives.
The lower chamber gets so cramped and when I slide the hard drive cage out the sata data connectors gets snagged and simply snap off.
I guess I have to get some of those 90° sata cables to see if that helps.
