If you load a new firmware into the WRT54G/GS do I have to manually configure all settings again or do the stay untuched? The increased signal strength, does it have an greate impact? Examples?
If so, I might want to try that firmware.
OK, thanks! I try to hold out for the XP-90 which got the highest rank over at overclockers.com. And its probably cheaper and lighter.
OR, I do have a chance of buying a n old sp-94. How much sjould I pay for it? OR, should I wait? OR.... ;-)
On what info do you base that statement? Is this considering noice as an important variable (ie holding dba constant). If it were true. I would be happy but it just sounds too good ;-)
Thanks Operandi, my thought was that a sp-94 coupled with a 92mm fan generates less noise than a 80mm. OR at the same noice level a 92mm fan push more air than a 80mm fan. That was my point. Considering coooling ONLY my alpha performes well, but I am not willing to pay the cost of noice.
AND...
OK, so I bought a Prescott. A 3.0E witch runs nicely a 3750 (havent tried any higher). Its cooled by an "old" Alpha, the model former to 8952T. Its been cooling my 1.8A @ 2.6 for a year now BUT the prescott needs som more air ;-) And 80mm fans doesnt suck/blow that much without the effect of...
Here you GO.
Burner127, in what way? I assume you are the "burner" from asusboards who wrote on this topic, right? In that case, dont you have the Asus P4C800E Deluxe? If so, are you sure its the same for IS7? WHat is the distance from socket upper edge to the PSU? Do you have any pictures? How...
Im planning on buying a XP-120 but am worried that it wount fit. I have a Antec Sonata and a Abit IS7. As you might know, the socket on IS7b is very close to the edge on the MB (se here: http://www.abit-usa.com/images/products/IS7_lg.jpg) AND the PSU on Sonata is close to the MBs upper end. SO...
OK, Ill go for the NW. You all convinced me, a little more expensive but more reliable in many aspects. A64 would be grate BUT then I have to get me another MB ALSO. I mainly work with picture and videoediting AND find Intel greate.
So, what you guys are saying is that its worth some extra bucks to get a NW? Then, what NW is the one to get. I dont want to spend any extra on ne HQ RAMso I plan on running my matched Twinmos PC3200 in the system. SHould I aim for a 2.8 and go for high bus speed (and running the ram at 4/5) or...
Yanagi, I have checked ALL stores, and you have to trust me, NO ONE have them in stock now. OK, there are some that have he 2.8NW in stoch BUT they are much more expensive so then is the question, is it wort $35 extra to get a 2.8NW. i can get a 3.4NW at itbutikken for £164GBP which is a mighty...
OK, I have to upgrade my 1.8A and plan on buying a 2.8-3.4 P4 (depending on the price). SO I start reading about Prescott and people seems to be really scared of Prescott, becouse of the heat it can generate (at least the bigger ones, 3.2->) So I think, OK I buiy a nothwood instead and starts...
OK, I HAVE to use Outlook 2003 at work :-( and I have used Mozilla and Thunerbird now for some time now. SO I want to take all my mail and adresses with me. But HOW do I do that. It seems impossible o import TB mail into Outlook 2003. PLS, helpl me!
Finally I chance to get som info about a card nobody seen yet, the the thread dies.
Peple have been takling about a radeon 9600xt ver2 after the first round of reviews. Some manufacturers say the will release a 256bit cart (mem bus) and some say they will release vards with higher mem...
Doesnt matter, just pick one up as soon as you can. When do U get yours? Since ATI had some time so reconsider ther spec on 9600XT it should be some suprise there, we just have to find it. The Powercolor 9600XT Bravo edition is clocked at 550Mhz core and 760Mhz memory sounds like a decent...
Ray5150Ray, PLEASE, give us some info about, clock speed and core-speed (default) and what you can bring it up to. Been waiting on the 9600xt for some time now. The Asus comes with video in/out, right? Seen people having cpu/core at 625/350x2.
Hi Folks,
I got myself a new dvd-reader from samsung. Works OK and is very quiet, BUT thisthing wont read as quick as it says it should. It IS a x16 redader but willl only do 4-6x speed. Strange!?
Yeas, I have DMA available. I have tried different IDE-setup, as slave, master and as single...
OK, this is the story. I bougt a SATA controler card and a Raptor. Removes the two older disks (2x80GB) connected to the native onboards ata connectors. Then I installed XP on the Raptor. Everything went smooth as butter. After I installet XP and some software I wanted to add the two older...
NO! I use the raid-controler as an ordinary ATA-controler. At least i THINK that the Promise controler will give me better performance, thats why I would like to run the two disks on separate channels on the promisecontroler and dv/dvd/cdrw on the onboard ata-controler.
OK, when I have my two disks at the the first two standard ID-channels on my P4T533 everything is OK. BUT when I try to run them at the onboard Promise Controller (MBFastTrak133, lite?) The boot sequence stops with a "press key to reboot" or something? WHY??? Before I ran two other disk at that...
!!!!!HAPPY OWNER OF A VIEWSONIC VP171B!!!!!
Got this beuty yesterday and I AM SATISFIED. Its so bright U got to wear sun glasses if U R sitting in a dark room ;-) Its razor sharp and is SOOOOOO flexible. Tomorroow I will put it next to a cheep BenQ. THIS will be exiting!
I got a GF3 Ti200 by Creative (made by MSI I presume) and it runs my 19-inch SONY at this very moment ;-) The picture is allright, maybe not the best but good. This monitor is approx 4 years now so...
Sadly I must run it together with an old ti200, the radeon have to wait an extra month or so now that I bougt this sweetie. How much does this effect the picture?
OK! I bought the Viewsonic VP171B, I trust U guys. I just couldnt resist the pressure ;-) Ill come back and give U my opinion. I also bougt a cheep BenQ 17 inch LCD for 3999SEK (500USD) for another rig I am building 2 another person.
YEAH! Ican understand (and i know) that the VP171b _IS_ superior to the LCD1760v (1701) BUT THE QUESTION IS IF ITS WOTH THE 120 EXTRA BUCKS? It might just bu so, I am leaning towards the viewsonic right now, even though it exeds my planned budget :-(
OK, so for "anti glare" and pivot-funktion, Ill be paying 1000SEK (appr 120USD) extra. Its a 120GB HDD extra for that money. Yeah, this is a tough one. I might skip the lunch for a couple of days and invest in the Viewsonic....
OK, here we GO!
Viewsonic VP171b: 5738SEK
Nec LCD1760NX: 5474SEK
Nec LCD 1701 (aka 1760V): 4854
Samsung 172T: 6529SEK.
What do U say about these prices? Are the VP171b really woth the bucks?
Been around reading and writing to find out WHAT display 2 buy. Now I considering either a budget-way or the more exclusive-way. The budget alternative is the NEC LCD1760 (1701 here in sweden) which seems to be a reaaly great product. According to some people THE DVI interface on 1760NX doesnt...
x3m, did U find out if the H950 WAS a relabeld Samsung or not. According to the spec they look similar but not exactly the samt (physical mesure and look). Now U can get this display even cheaper ;-) Bump for this interesting question. Did U Buy it?
(Jag bor också i sverige)
I have seen that the samsung 172-series comes in different flavours? Are the ones without DVI any good? They suite my budget (almost).
Its leaning against the NEC LCD1701 ;-)
