For good reception of satellite streams, the GPS receiver probably needs to be in near line of sight of the satellites (hence the sky) ... and so it will be hard to avoid exposure to the sun. Of course, people have reported getting good "fix" even while being inside a building, so clearly...

And also, I have done 6 Seagate rebates so far and except for one of them taking longer (about 6 months) I have had no issues. Again ... YMMV. I am just sharing my experience with Seagate.

I have had two Maxtor drives die on me, but yet to have a Seagate fail. YMMV, but I would gladly pay upto 10% more for a comparable Seagate drive any day of the week.

IMHO, MCE 2005 is *THAT* much better than the ATI MMC app. Like huesmann said, the ATI MMC has proved to be extremely flaky for me. In fact it is almost guaranteed to crash after a short while of viewing DTV. On the other hand, the MCE integration with this card has been rock solid for me...
