Asus Forums Slow as Hell

Asus can make good motherboards, so what the hell is wrong with their slow ass forums. It takes forever to navigate or post anything. This is the last time I will ever buy Asus!

Overclocking for a New user to Overclocking?

Well, in the end....you could get a cheap e4300 and easily get to 3.2 Ghz (8 x 400Mhz)= 1600Mhz FSB. That is exactly what I did....well, I got the e4400 since I didn't know how much FSB I could push and I definitely wanted to get to 3.0 Ghz---did that on stock voltages and just set the bus to...

So I have 1500 to build a computer

Ummmm......I say go with the Asus P5K Deluxe....comes with Wi-Fi and is a solid overclocker.....currently running my E4400 @ 8 X 400 = 3.2 Ghz. Can't complain about that.....no problems. Abit also make a good P35 board. I would stay away from a P965 board simply cuz of the headaches and the...

I was just wondering if it is possible to go from my current single drive setup to a striped array withough having to completely wipe my current disk. I have an Asus P5K Deluxe with a single hard drive and I would just like to get a duplicate drive and do a striped array. Do I really have to...

May be just a bad board or weak power supply. What kind of core temps are you getting? What is your cpu?? Interesting thing that I found on this board is that the voltage is a little quirky. If I set it at 1.400vcore, it will give me 1.36v according to hardware monitor in bios. Under load...

Core 2 Duo Overclocking - which CPU/Chipset combo?

I'm running E4400 @ 8 X 400Mhz = 3.2 Ghz Vcore= 1.38 idle/ 1.36 full Orthos load. Core temp @ 48C Orthos. Northbridge = 1.55 V, Mushkin DDR2 800 (Micron D9) @ 2.15V and 4-4-4-10 2T. Orthos, Super Pi and Prime 95 all stable though not run overnight yet. Stable enough to play BF2 and C& C3...

ASUS P5K Deluxe

Hi, I just finishing building a new system with this board (see tagline). So far I can get my E4400 to 10 X 300 on stock voltages and 9 X 333 as well, but not as stable as the former. I have also noticed the temp readings using PC Probe II are inaccurate (as in reading below ambient)...

Hi all ! I am preparing to do a new build with a DS3, but am still not completely sure that I would get it over a 650i board. My main concerns revolve around RAID controller issues with the 965's vs. less-than-stellar overclocking of the 650i boards. Slight edge to the P965 at the moment...
