Thanks for the welcome! I appreciate the info on the L2 cache. To be more specific though, I am talking about the reference to the X2 3600+ earlier. Will the 3600 perform about the same as the 5600 when clocked to the same speed? At least in typical applications?
The one concern I have about overclocking the lower speed models is that don't they usually have significantly less L2 cache also? Will that make a big performance difference even if they're clocked to the same speed? What types of applications utilize the L2 cache the most?
