Good luck on your endevors, WT.. I tried changing drivers back and forth, whql, beta and even older drivers, Formatting and starting with latest whql, taking out sound card, changing vidcard to another slot, going to XP(instant BSOD) and as i said.. all failures. 20 crashes a day would have...

Maybe a bad board? I've not heard any real issues with instability and, although i've not pushed this thing.. it runs cool. My cpu temps are 25/30*C right now. my e6700 never idled this low on temps. My Asus I had I hated.. flaky bios chip or something. It rarely wanted to just boot right...

I checked out the Duet and, I dunno... it doesn't tickle my fancy. However, the NXZT Zero could be it, with 7 1200mm fans and an 80mm fan included and a bit over $100.. not bad. Got a good review from bigbruin.com. I'll add that to my list of contenders. Would have been nice to have a side...

P35 or X38

I think I'd rather stick with the Pro version of the IP35 series. It's a heck of a lot cheaper than this POS Asus board I bought and being the price of this board negligible, I don't see a reason not to buy the higher end version. Thanks for your input!

nForce 590 to .......

MSI X38 Diamond looks like a good choice.. supports DDR2 and DDR3 and a wide selection of CPUs as well. I can upgrade the mobo and keep my current ram and cpu and when i get good and ready, upgrade the cpu and ram to something that fits the mb much nicer. Looks like a great futureproof idea...
