If the AUTO setting sets ram by spd then why does the board on AUTO set my DDR400@333? -Also , i'm a ddr2-noob, whats good ram for this mb? I intend not to oc but that doesn't mean i do not care about cl stuff and so. -And then ,like ddr-I, if i buy ddr2-800 will i have better timings...

U mean in linux it works right? If i have eist in bios enabled in xp when i set the power management features to "always on" speedstep does not turn off as it should.. when i disable altogether via bios option it's still enabled in the os... This is all confusing... Anyways (using everest) this...

Got the same cpu and before i flash-upgrade my bios i had the bios 1.0 -in anycase not even 1.40 - I think or properly I AM CERTAIN your problem is this board not accepting registered memory.

Why is that? Ok about the PCI-IDE Bus master it's understandable but about the pci delay transaction i got to disagree as this -ON THIS- m/b is most probably about ISA cards compatibility and not about the compliance with the PCI specification and freeing the bus whilst a pci card is idle...

By the way - Does anybody (besides me) think that bios HW monitor for the cpu is false? In bios i get 10c more than multiple software monitors in windows. M/B temp is the same. Besides that what does the M/B temp monitor ? - Northbridge temp? And above which value should i be concerned that the...

Me 2 m8 using 1.80c -great bios ! What is your motherboard temp - do you use the quiet fan? That stuff about northbridge overheat has scared the hell out of me!

Another issue i have is a more practical one: I have the Thermaltake armor VA-8000BWS case - the issue is that this motherboards front panel (?) or case power led errmmm ... don't seem to cooperate!!:Q Going by the manual the p-led takes those 2 first pins like this...

Edit: e-mailed asrock hope they answer sometime - anyway searched some further especially those via forums and found out this: V-LINK SET TO FAST=MORE AGGRESSIVE TIMINGS (this certainly is NOT for your OCs) just need that confirmation on that. Update soon..
