Its similar to supporting your local football team, you dislike the other team regardless of how bad or good they are doing, there is some logic to that.
But these companies are not our local anything so its more about image by association of brand, NV is the bigger and most popular i have got...
That post has nothing to do with my comment.
If AMD gained market share then they have gained market share, i could not care less about the why, AMD getting closer to NV for whatever reason is better for everyone.
Because some peoples tribal mindset prevents them seeing anything positive, even if what would please them the most would ultimately be detrimental for everyone including themselves when prices would be even higher than they are now.
The profitable is the mainstream in the context of consumer products and thats where AMD is getting back market share.
And the main point is not about why, the point is that it is when some try to make out that its not..
Its all about the price.
The RX480 is offering performance that was available years ago and its OCUKs best seller which helped contribute to OCUKs best ever month in OCUKs history.
Its all about the price to performance and not that is was available years ago.
AMDs market share grow when there...
AMDs last enthusiast CPU is 4 years old people said that AMD has given up on the enthusiast CPU but here we are with a new enthusiast CPU, so users so not be so ready to write off AMD giving up on the highend GPU just because its not been released at the same time as the competitions.
I have not seen AMD admitting not wanting to compete at the high end, its just not there priority as they got more important sectors to cater for first and there are far more to high end than Titan, they dont have to beat Titan to be competitive in the High end.
And as far as im concerned they...
I agree, but as i said most enthusiasts think that they are the most important and if they are not catered for then a company is doomed my example was just a small part of more important sectors.
The problem is that too many high end enthusiasts think they are the most important segment, they are not, they are just the most vocal.
Once the mainstream loses interest then its over and all that is left are the few enthusiasts on forums.
The enthusiasts could not sustain Commodore or...
It was a better experience for me and if others are happy with there 3/4 way experience what does it matter, people don't need to be told if something feels worse for them, if 3/4 way feels worse for them then they would not use 3/4 no one is forcing them to spend the money and use 3/4 way, its...
The point was specifically about scaling not possible other issues and i have provided information about the scaling and seeing as i have been running quad and tri GPU since the 3870s only 2 games that i have played were better with 2 GPUs rather then 3 or 4 in my personal experience with crossfire.
My QuadFire 5970 was fantastic for me and my favorite so far.
2560x1600 1x5970 Ares CF 2x5970 Ares quadfire Ares 5970+5870 TriFire
The review is old and so are the drivers, much has changed since then, but that's basically my Quadfire setup at the time...
My quadfire 5970s lasted 1.5 years into the 7 series and all the games that i was playing had CF support that need CF that's nearly 4 years and 2 generations of superseding cards releases.
Why would you sell that part that's makes money to keep the part that does not make money going, that part is going to fail again, sell that part that is not making money and keep the part that is making money.
