HardOCP says anandtech has bad methods

From Hard OCP "we can run the canned demo in REAL TIME and record the framerate with FRAPS." Just a question, how exactly is this done? I would like to replicate this test using my 8800gt (same setup as H) thanks

HD2600XT: GDDR3 vs GDDR4

If you don't have an awesome psu, then the 2600XT is probably pretty good for you, i've read a review here and there, but i don't think theres a huge difference in the frames between DDR3 and DDR4 - or between 256mb and 512. I think thats the real benefit of 2600XTs, its made for the masses -...

2600XT's are available finally

two silent 2600s in xfire would be awesome. but i would prefer something with the go of a 1950 pro though, since i've used vista and don't intend to use it again any time soon.

best video card around $200 that's DX10 capable?

you get buy 2 2600XTs (256mb probably) and stick em in crossfire. Each card uses only 45W, and if you get the passively cooled set (does it come passively cooled?), then it would be nice and quite too.

People with 24 inch to 30 inch lcd pc monitors

Buying a 24" monitor was the best thing I ever did! Its been great for my eyes, because I'm now forced to sit further from the screen just to see everything :) If the next refresh of cards is not up to the mark (like the midrange for this gen) then I figure i will just get the crysis 360...

In high school (long long time ago), I remembered one of the teachers bringing in a decibel meter - our classroom was rated at about 70dB - apparently we didn't know when to shut up

Oh yeah and my HIS 1950pro fan always runs at 100% (apparently it doesn't come with a speed controller) but i can't hear it at all, because my Big Typhoon cooler also runs at 100% (2000 rpm) - whatever helps to keep my cpu running at a cool 24 deg C at idle ;)
