What gadgets are you using in Vista?

I never quite understood the appeal of gadgets. For instance, I know what the weather is outside. Don't need to look at my computer for that. CPU temperature? How often does one look at that? HD space? I have a pretty good idea of what I have, and don't need a gadget to tell me. Clock...

Why do people hate Vista?

I had to laugh reading your post, because I too know people running hacked copies of Vista w/o any problems. Rock solid machines. I've even seen them do OS verification through MS.

Well, this is the problem. When I play MPEG movies using Media Player the video lags. This doesn't happen with DVD's. I've noticed that if I set the priority to "high" though all is good. Now when I play these MPEG files I don't have anything else running. Also, I don't have the stupid...
