What's the diff b/t the A64 and AthlonFX?

Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz

Whats weird is that some of the overclocked 2666MHz results. Some of them had a 166/166 and some of them and a 133/166 FSB/RAM ratio. I wonder what is right and if it is just a typo on the graphs...

Any CD Burners with more than 2mb buffer?

Sorry that I didnt state what GF I am using. Its a GF4Ti4400 on AthlonXP 1700@1600/160 unlocked Epox 8KHA+ WinXP I use the RivaTuner(newest version) refresh rate fix on these dets and they work.

I havent done screenshots between them to see if the image quality is any different between the 2 drivers. But I can tell you that, after 2 hours of gaming on the newer drivers, they are pretty much the same in terms of image quality, just more frames per seconds!!

Those who are saying FPS doesnt matter... get real. Heck you are at anandtech.com and you are telling me you dont care about how much fps we have. Hell we read benchmarks from sites all over the places and we care about each miniscule difference in terms of speed... and now you tell me FPS...

How good is the Maxtor/Quantum 18.4GB Atlas 10k III u160?

I got it guys. Thanks. I placed a slow and quiet 80mm fan on top of the video card edge that blows right onto the fanless chipset heatsink. System seem to be rather stable :)

Good news for 8KHA+ owners...Ti4600's that *do* fit!

You guys really dont know jack. EPOX never claimed the 8KHA+ to be AGP 2.0 compliant, and never advertised to be so. All it has is a AGP 2.0 COMPATIBLE slot.

Athlon XP 1700 or P4 1.6a, which one should I get

I bet i will get jumped on but here is my recommendation. P4/1.6A is what I will get right now. I am personally using an AXP1700+ overclocked but I can assure you that at 2.3GHz NW is going to be faster than a 1.7XP.

Vets on Win NT 3.51: System Requirements 12MB of RAM, any way to get around that?

CD quality audio only uses about 150kbyte/s - 1.2Mbit/s. USB 1.x can handle that. Say you have Front and Rear speakers + Sub + Center - 3*1.2Mbit/s = 3.6Mbit/s. USB can still handle that. However, Sub uses less bandwidth so it is less than 3.6Mbit/s

Anyway to backup the 'restricted zone' list from Zonealarm?

I want to do a total OS reinstall but then I have an extensive 'restricted zone' list under ZA. Most of them are Advertisers and I really cant be f*ed to re-enter them. Also, is there a way to backup the 'restricted cookies' from IE?

Tired of my IBM 75GXP piece of crap. Should I get 120GXP or go for WD or Maxtor?

Maxtor D740X is my latest addition to my box. It isnt as quiet as my IBM 60GXP. Performance similiar.

Seagate Bara4 is SILENT. Then the next quietest is the IBM and lastly the Maxtor. I dont know about WD because i dont have them.

Partly true, but I need to add. I think the GF4MX has memory bandwidth saving techniques same/better than the current GF3 does. A GF3TI200 (175/400) is FASTER than GF2Ultra (250/460) in a LOT of benchmarks. This shows that if memory bandwidth saving techniques are used, it does help...
