Yeah, I reckon that a resolution of 1360 x 768 pixels doesn't stress the PCI-E bandwidth too much but still, I want to do those benchmarks. That's the only pending section of my website after all. :P

I can't do the stock test at a stock run because the native resolution of my monitor is 1360 x 768 pixels. So, I can only do the GPU tests with any presets I want but only at 1360 x 768 pixels. Anyway, I'm benchmarking some games these days and I'll post it on my website as soon as I finish...

HD4870 1GB or GTX 269 Core 216 for HTPC?

The HD 4870 should be better in terms of performance than the GeForce 260 Core 216 but it will be noisier and hotter too. However, if you can get a HD 4870 based on a non-reference design like mine then things should be okay for you.

8800 GTX or 1gb 2900 XT :: Anybody got a real decision?

In this case I would bring the debate between the GTX and the Ultra only. Having said that, in my opinion, the GTX will be better because of its lower price as the Ultra is simply a factory overclocked GTX. Get the GTX and (if you want) make it an Ultra by yourself.
